Well said! I think a lot of people confuse the two because they came out around the same time as a lot of glam bands. But, their music is hard rock. I think a lot of people thought that Sebastian Bach was too pretty...I mean the man was gorgeous...and no "pretty boy" could sing hard rock so they have to be a "glam band". I'm sure all the hard liquor, smoking and drugs didn't help. Not to mention, I'm fairly certain he didn't attempt to take care of his voice in the same manner as someone like Pavarotti might have. He starred and sand lead on Broadway for Jekyll and Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar to name a few and he shocked the Broadway community!! He was so good so powerful , his performances were better than anyone that had played these iconic roles prior!!! You should definitely check him out!!! The best male vocalist of all time that has been in a metal, thrash, rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, polka, death metal, alternative, accapella, opera, Latin, blues, R&B, Soul, Pop, Grind core, Brazilian murdercore, easy listening, soft rock, disco, country, electronic, trip-hop, Industrial, stoner rock, orchestral, movie scores, literally any genre of music this man has done! He has sang with Pavarotti for f*cks sake! He did the entire film score for "Iam Legend" starring Will Smith every single Zombie scream, cry, group roaring etc.... this man did them all with his voice! He has so many bands and projects his most well known would be the multi platinum selling Faith No More and his very first band Mr.Bungle a few other bands he has are Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Fantomas to name a few... This man this most inspiring musician , vocalist and visionary is the one and only MIKE PATTON!!! You should honestly just do every video on reactions to his exquisite works!!!

I know what you are saying about the improper vocal fry because we saw it with Corey from Slipknot. His scream lasted little more than 2 years when they snapped on stage while on the IOWA tour, but Sebastian kept it going for almost 3 decades (2017) before he ended up needing a hernia operation since he was (as the doctor put it) "literally screaming his guts out". After that happened, he was never able to get the same range that he had before but it had little to do with his vocal cords and yes, he still sings quite well just not with the same sound.

He will sing head voice with just as much vocal fry as he can muster (and it still sounds great!), but when he sings in his chest range it sounds really well supported, in some ways better than it did back in the day. Lzzy Hale also claims that the technique behind her screams and vocal fry on high notes is such that it does not hurt her voice. Check out anything live from Halestorm, including a cover of Slave To The Grind (…maybe even the version with Sebastian Bach!), and see what you think.

So many reactors just sit in their cars or bedroom with a total mess in the background and here you have nice back drop pictures. I really like how you add the emoji’s and gifs and cartoons to illustrate your emotions during that part of the song. And then on top of all that you add informational notes about the band/artist. I just want to give you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for your channel. GREAT WORK !!

seen it love love love it. Sebastian was the best 'screamer' in the 80s/90s. Beautiful voice, hair, and holy crap sexy to boot. He was the total package. There are live concerts that just floor you when he sings. There's one performance the sound system kicks off and he just starts singing and belting those notes. It's a shame he damaged his voice but he still sings so we still have that. Another glam metal you should hear is Cinderella. The lead singer had an amazing voice but those growls and screams cost him 7 throat surgeries and a paralyzed left vocal cord. Check out their song Nobody's Fool

As someone commented below, I must agree -- Steelheart's "Never Let You Go" is amazing, and the hideous accident that their lead singer had onstage, and then healed from is a huge testament to his strength and determination. If I could spell Mili's last name I would give him credit. They would be great to review!

It was a powerful message and the vocals matched.

FWIW, Bach wrote the lyrics to the song about Steven Adler (drummer from Guns and Roses) about his heroin addiction and how it led to him being fired from GnR - the 'horse' that stampedes and rages is slang for Heroin.

Most people don’t know he played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera in the Toronto shows back in the day. IF I REMEMBER it right.

He was one of the loudest screams in metal for a long time! I think he was only beat out by a singer who broke a wine glass on myth busters .

Sebastian Bach is one of the best rock singers. In my opinion. I recommend reacting to "Slaves and bulldozers" by Soundgarden and "She's gone" + "I'll never let you go" by Steelheart.

Baz has done really well through the years. Yes now he is not the same. 30 years of screaming does that.

He still sounds good. He is older and partied hard. He was no joke as a singer... every concert he did this..

If you're talking about Sebastian, he turned 56 in April of 2024. He, uhm... played hard!🙃 If you weren't talking about Baz, my apologies!😶🌫️🥴

Lol he still sings like this perfectly fine - not sure what your friend was talking about. He's been trained to do this sort of vocal fry/distortion on purpose, and in a healthy way. He hasn't lost any vocal abilities, actually. Great video! You can obviously sing really well too!

Alterbridge, words dark then their wings, the live version, I think you'll love it, especially the very gifted lead singer Myles Kennedy

I'd forgotten him. When glam and hair metal were all the rage on MTV, I had a tiny bit of a crush on Skid Row. Maggie I'm concerned you're going to half into an aria and bust out in a snarly metallic scream.

Sebastian has a new album coming out. He can still sing very well his voice is amazing been listening since the beginning. He takes care of his voice. He’s trained talks about it, was trained as a kid, then as an adult. Was on broadway as well. :))
