Nah man,I always loved his CHARISMA but dude was out of pitch OFTEN and really just screamed his way thru when he couldn't hit notes,he was a very good singer for this band,but really,imo he wasn't the most talented because Dave was a great songwriter,I like Bas but now, especially at age 49 I believe looking back he was definitely OVERRATED,as was a few of them,VINCE NEIL who was my fav singer for my fav band is one of em,but still do appreciate everything they brought to my childhood and still jam on them today,!!

Sometimes someone fresh comes onto the scene, say the new singer for this band, and he has been schooled through the european 'Idol' system and has a magnificent voice and since a teenager has been nailing these vocals and desperation SR turned to this gifted young bloke to front this band, and he is seriously good - however NOBODY can come close to Bach. His vocal range is stunning, in his prime he was magical. Back is replaced by Erik but not to those of us who've followed SR from day one. Seb is in an entirely different level.

I would only disagree because of modern times. Erik has the hair of *more* today. Sebastian had it *then*. Sebastian wore his vocal chords out singing this stuff. Erik is much more in control of his chords. Erik moves around the stage and interacts with the crowd more. Seriously, in a BIG way.

The SNL version of this is incredible. One of the top 5 SNL performances ever. He wants to do the aggressive “ Cookie Monster” style at times. I gotta respect that - he’s trying to make it harder but then at 5:30 he goes boy band on us. Just to again at 6:22 hit the note great. Then the “ jungle in blacks” are good. No matter the personality he definitely loves rockin out.

Look at Hills face at 25-28 seconds in. Is that not an arrogant stand-offish look? So many are hoping so bad for a reunion. Maybe if they just get rid of Hill, then it could happen. I do believe he is and has been the issue. Yeah so I did just Google that. Thanx for the tip. It was by far the best live performance I've seen of them. It was early enough into their career when partying didn't take its toll on Sabastian yet. He sang it like the recording as he still could. I've not heard him sound better. Band was on fire too. Interestingly in the intro Rachel looks at Sabastian with great disdain. I had no idea that started this early on. Rachel was a main writer and basically Co founded the band with Dave and probably just wanted more of the spotlight from the get go. I can understand his feelings a bit but if not for such a charismatic front man like Bas they might not have ever made it. Gotta find balance Mr Bolens.
