My 23 started making terrible squeak/squeal coming from the pogos. Pulled off covers, and they were never greased. Greased solved it. Like the crush ring you mentioned, it’s a little disturbing these things come out of the factory like this. QA needs improvement.

Besides the oil and gear change is there anything else that needs to be done? I just ordered a Renegade 600 ACE and will get it towards the end of 2023. I know its a trail sled, but do you have any opinions on how it does off trail? Thank you.

There’s always the recommended maintenance intervals in the manual but other than the gearbox and motor oil change there’s not much a guy can do in the first year or two of owning the machine, maybe make sure the belt tension is good. Of course it depends how many miles you put on also. As far as how the machine does off trail it totally depends on the rider’s ability, if you know how to ride a sled through the trees in deep powder then you’ll do just fine. Put a novice on the best mountain sled there is and he’ll have nothing but problems getting stuck , good luck

Does this machine have a pull start hidden under the side panels ?

No it’s only electric start , I’m not sure if the 2 stroke has both electric and pull start

It always amazes me about certain engineering. Why not have a proper drilled and tapped chaincase fill plug? How about a remotely mounted oil filter that a fella can easily get at?IAll those little things just to make maint. a whole lot easier. Those 600 aces I here are bulletproof and very efficient.Thx.

Couldn’t agree with you more, never user friendly for the owner
