WW1 air combat rule number 1 - keep looking behind you. Rule number 2 - he who has the hieght advantage controls the battle.

This looks just like a game i will enjoy. I miss air battle simulators of 90s and early 00s. There was a game where you can play a pilot career mode at WW2. The game would send you at different Pasific battle theaters and most of the missions were sandbox. There were a lot of different missions like air raid defence; you would start on the airfield while enemy bombers are approaching, there were bombing runs to enemy fleet, hunting enemy fighters etc. I forgot the name of the game unfortunately 😢

Albatross DV. That's *_ROMAN NUMERALS_* so it's Albatross D5 ok? So - Fokker DI, DII, DIII, DIV, DV, DVI, DVII, DVIII for example. D1 to D8. Spitfire MkV - Spitfire Mk 5, Mk XII etc. Spitfires changed to modern numerals from the Mk14 onwards.

What is needed is a Dawn Patrol like, table top, version for the pc. Strategic /tactical movement, not an arcade style simulation. imho

Tabletop simulator has a Dawn patrol scenario/campaign/mode. Also you have Ace Patrol (Sid meier's), maybe you'd like that game too. =)

Sure! That game is called "The Few" unfortunately it is unplayable due to a lack of updates. And I mean it, I wouldn't recommend picking it up in its current state.
