I love the speed of the big fast turns on the Brahma. Should I replace it with the Anomaly 94 or 88 now?

I find the 88 to be more versatile while the 94 is better suited to big and fast turns in my experience.

I noticed the Declivity 92 falls into the 80’s review. I’m currently on a Brahma 88 and dig it but looking to add something similar but different into the mix. I loved some things Bob had to say about the Declivity. I’ve skied the Anomaly line up last season. How does the Declivity 92 compare to the Anom 94? I loved the comments about quietness and am intrigued by the new core. Is there a big difference in edge hold on firm snow between these 2? Appreciate the insights. Big boned former racer who skied Tahoe for a couple of decades but is back East.

The 88-92 range is a big one for sure, but certainly the Declivity has a lot in common with the Anomaly 94 as well--probably more than with the Anomaly 88. We found the Anomaly 94 to operate very well at speed and with a more aggressive mindset while the Declivity has greater range. The smoothness of the Declivity is amazing while the raw power of the Anomaly stands out as a defining characteristic. That puts edge hold and confidence on firm snow as a premium for the Anomaly. While Declivity is no slouch in this realm, the Anomaly just does it better.

Hi, hesitating between the 88 and 94. Which one is the most playful. Are the tail rockers the same or is there a difference? I'm a French skier habit to ride the ripstick black edition 96 but a bit tired of the carbon quick response in changing icy bumpy snow (but I love them anyway). Looking for a more stable feeling without loosing the playfulness in every conditions

Same tapers, same rockers, same turn shape, similar weight. The 88 is a bit stiffer. Given the added width and slightly softer flex, I'd say the 94 is a bit more playful. Been skiing the 94 the past few days and LOVE it.

@@SkiEssentials I'm interested in what you mean by more playfulness in de 94 vs 88.. I'm retiring my old Scott neo 176 I picked up 2nd handed as my first skis a long time ago and set my sights on de 88/94. I'm more of an heavy (220lbs) on piste big turn carver in the northern alps with a habit of going off the trail on fresh pow days if I didn't bring my snowboard. What do you think?
@SkiEssentials4 күн бұрын
@ Basically easier to move through different types of snow. The easier the ski is to move, especially in softer snow, the more playful it's going to be. Between these two widths, the 94 is slightly more playful.

sorry for bothering but how would the Nordica enforcer 94 compare to this. I personally prefer a stable and smooth skii, which i can just rip through various terrain. Thanks
@SkiEssentials3 ай бұрын
The Enforcer is a better turner and a cleaner carver when it comes to round turns and mid-radius arcs. The Anomaly seems happier going straighter at faster speeds. I'd give the Enforcer the edge when it comes to versatility as that ski is able to make a ton of different turns no matter the conditions or terrain.

Was also looking for that answer:). Tried the Nordica and they were railing the turns! My only thought was if I can do shorter turns with them as well. I understand that they’re not the strongest offpist but as long as they are ok offpist they will be good for me

hardpack ice and tree performance - anomaly 94 or declivity 92?
@SkiEssentialsАй бұрын
Overall I think the Anomaly is a good choice here as it will hold up better on hardpack but still be mobile enough in trees. Declivity is a bit better of a tree ski, but Anomaly does offer a lot of confidence in icy snow.

Who is the skier, doesn't look like Bob but kinda like Bob. Bob is the best directional skier.
