SKIING BRECKENRIDGE - WINTER RVING IN COLORADO (EP 89)

Is winter camping worth it? It was this week! Skiing Breckenridge after fresh snow was epic, but taking the highest ski lift in North America and then hiking the extra distance to 12, 998 feet to ski the chutes was surreal.
In addition to skiing one of the top 3 most popular ski resorts in the nation, we went dog sledding with Alpine Adventures. It was a big surprise to us that right from the start, we would be driving the sled. The real treat was being around such purpose-driven dogs. Show these pups a harness and they all start howling with excitement.
Lastly, we visit the International Snow Sculpture Championships. We were lucky enough to be in Breckenridge for the entire week to see if from the beginning right to the end.
Yes, winter camping is harder and we’ll do a winter camping recap video, but if you love snow activities, just like summer travel, RVing only makes it better!

I've skied Breckenridge before and made it through all of the mountains, unfortunately I blew my knee out on mountain 10 and missed fresh powder the day morning....I've wanted to go back ever since...best skiing hands down, and beautiful to boot.

It did take a few runs to get used to not having a right hand pole. Center of gravity was pulling to the right because I couldn't pole plant. The first day, footage was terrible. Second day was okay, but wrong field of view. Got a little better by the third day, but I needed ONE more day to get it right. The boys need to get a little better so they can record up there with me.

Wow Marc! If there was an olympic event for hiking up and skiing down what looked like the most difficult run in the resort ONE HANDED & HOLDING CAMERA you would take Gold! Great job. This was like 2 video's in one with the sled dogs. My contribution was sitting through the 15 minute goggle commercial before your video started.... The dog sleds looked like a lot of fun and great job driving.The snow sculptures were beautiful. Vicki and I went up after they were completed and made a stop at Breckenridge Distillery with some friends afterwards. You're a brave man Marc hitting that double black diamond. Yikes!! Priceless family memories. I learned to ski middle age and I am so glad I did. It's hard, and its worth it. You realize one day at the very top of a mountain, that not everybody gets to see that view first hand. Only those that dare. Take some honey packs, gives you energy in 5 that lasts about 20 minutes. Beautiful sights and sculptures and dog sledding. Thankz

Awesome video showing the fun in ski towns, especially Breckenridge. We do kind of the same thing here with the Whitefish winter carnival, but nowhere near as big, but less people as well, still lots of fun. I generally cross country ski, I won't break something as easy :-) I am going to go to Colorado in August. Hopefully RVing it but if not rent a car, I'm really looking forward to it, especially after reminiscing with your videos. Have fun in Denver. Lots to see all along the front range.

LOVE this video!! I used to ski and snowboard, but I quit because I injured my IT band so much, but this is awesome!! Peak 10 definitely looked a bit nerve wracking. I was always worried I'd crash into a tree, so I tended to stay to stay out of the woods while skiing!!

Awesome video! We really enjoy skiing and it's one of the main reasons why we moved from Indiana to Utah 1.5 years ago.
