Colorado Springs should be on every RVers route. During our short visit we toured the Air Force Academy, hiked the Manitou Incline, drove through Garden of Gods and experienced great food and music. We visited from February 9th through the 16th and didn’t have the best luck with weather. It snowed for two days keeping us in the rig editing followed by intense wind preventing us from driving to the top of Pikes Peak. Always an adventure in Colorado. We stayed at Garden of the Gods RV park - decent park close to Garden of the Gods, but surrounded by construction.

My favorite city on earth! My dad was an Air force Major stationed at the Academy twice. I lived there through high school and into my late 20's. PLEASE go back when you have more time and yes, summer is amazing. A few places off the top of my head you would not want to miss are Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, The Broadmore, Palmer park, Old Colorado City and more. The zoo is even quite the experience. It is on the side of Cheyeanne mountain. Glad you saw Garden of the Gods. Colorado Springs and the surrounding area are amazing. Congratulations on the incline. That is not for the weak.

Great video! We loved Colorado Springs. We visited Garden of the Gods, Manatou Springs, rode the Cog railway up to Pikes Peak. We will definitely be taking more road trips to Colorado. Unfortunately full time rving is not possible right now. I live in Houston, FYI we have one of the biggest rodeo in the world going on til the 18th if you're in the area. Welcome to Texas.

Who cares how fast you make it up there! Isn’t it better to just go slow, stop and rest, enjoy the view? The Academy is so awesome, I was there in 1960 with the Boy Scout Jamboree. And I agree good to see Carson get some time on the video. Please share with us your challenges in the kids schooling . Many RVrs would like to know more about how you do it.

Still living vicariously through you, lol. Our winter has been ridiculous to say the least, the lake effect snow burred us in 170" (72" in 2 days) and if that isn't bad enough now we're getting all these Nor' Easters and it's preventing us from taking delivery of our new Rockwood! Slides on the trailer we're trading in are still frozen shut.

Lived there in 90-91 while stationed at Fort Carson. Should never have left, it's an amazing part of the country. We go back several times a year now. I'm hoping to retire in the area. Been having a rough week, thank you very much for this video. Just looking at that place calms me down. I have to say tho, I hate how it's become so overpopulated and they make you pay for everything! Want to look at a mountain? Pay me! Want to walk through a stream? Pay me! Want to park your car and get out and breathe the air? Pay me! 30 years ago it was very different. But I guess everything was.

I did the incline last June. Quite fearful of heights. It took me about an hour, and I may have let out a couple short screams when I thought I was going to fall. But it was worth it! Took the Barr trail back down, not brave enough to go down without a handrail!

Marc and Tricia- You all are a total inspiration! I was so lucky to find you on KZbin way back in season one and you have been part of our Sunday night routine ever since. Now my wife and I are planning for our first RV! Like you said "you only get 18 summers with your kids." Question for you Marc - where do you find all of the music for your videos? You always pick such awesome songs that I have never heard of. Maybe Tricia will have a KYD cookbook and you can make KYD season soundtrack CD's? Just a thought! Thank you for all the laughs and great ideas! It's an honor to join you all each week on this journey. Take care!

We are have been living in COS for almost 5 years and loved watching your adventures here! Next time you come through, do a meet up! ;) Apparently, the repairs on the chapel are to the roof to repair all of the leaks but from what we heard they are not changing the original deisgn, just fixing and repairing and securing what is in disrepair. ;). As for the incline, next time, come down the Barr Trail, it'll give you some great views and you'll have a whole new appreciation for it. We think Caleb can make it to the top, or at least to the bail out point! If you make it back to Garden of the Gods, park and go for an adventure hike behind balanced rock. So much to explore off the beaten path! Another fun hike is Pulpit Rock and it's one that is "family friendly" so long as you hold on to little ones! There are rattlesnakes in the summer, so beware. Pikes Peak Highway is a really fun drive and worth another trip but definitely time it to go early so that you don't hit clouds that mess up the view. ;) We love your channel and the videos! So fun to see so much of Caleb in this video!

That slide could have resulted in a multitude of broken bones. You wouldn't have stopped till you hit that flat spot. The best part of being almost 60 is saying stuff like, "Yeh, no, I'm going to get a cup of coffee and a Danish. I'll see you when you get back." BTW, I had lunch with the cadettes at Annapolis a few years ago with Admiral Fluckey ( look him up) they do the same thing, all the cadettes eat at the same time and it is awesome. Before we ate, they called them to attention and let them know the surviving members of "The Barb" we're in the room. ( My father in-law was in that crew during the 11th and 12th war patrols in WW2.) The cadettes stood and applauded till the crew stood up. Really something to see.

My sister lives in Parker and the drive up to Pikes Peak is awesome. Well we didn’t get to the top because of snow the year we were there. But just awesome place to visit. Love ❤️ your video.
