I did exact the same run in March 2023, but it was a moggle slope than.

@@ivokoimecs lol, i had in the morning ski lessons at Saint Martin Belleville. After that i want to make for me as a beginner a long ski trip from there to Val Thorens and than back with the 'ski boulevard' to Les Menuires. It was a great trip!

@@longtreecityltc9325 You could also follow mont de la chambre down to les menuires untill the junction at the traverse to Val Thorens. Usually much nicer slope conditions and less crowding with less experienced skiers.

Nice video as always. Last year I tried the mont de la chambre (one slope to the left) and the traverse (which used to be the end point of a drag lift from les menuires) as a way back to Val Thorens and found it much nicer then the mogul field that pluviometre becomes in the afternoon. Seeing pluviometre in this good condition is a real early bird reward. I do wonder have you been looking at the insta 360 x3 as an upgrade for the action cam? I currently use a great sony sony action cam but being to able to aim the camera in post production and having less flattening of the image/slopes looks amazing. Not sure if it's worth paying 550 euro for and dealing with the increased file sizes.

Thanks! ... 😊👍 As of insta 360 camera. I don't like 360 format videos, as they usually are lower quality and have too much distortion, as well as tedious 360 workflow. And awkward camera mouting positions - OK, if you hold them on a stick in hand, but problems if you need to mount them on helmet or chest. Reframe feature sounds good on paper, but I don't need it much as I shoot primarily POV videos, and camera is mouted on the chest. Yes, it solves the issue with horizon positioning, which is a bit of a problem with chest mount, but GoPro, for example has taller sensor and you can shoot 4:3 or even 8:7 and reframe it on post to 16:9, which I do in some cases, as my friend (second camera), and me sometimes, tend to lean too much forward while skiing, so I have to manually correct that, otherwise you will watch the snow and skis all the way down. 360 cameras can help with that, but they have other downsides as I already mentioned. So, I prefer regular GoPro cameras.

@@ivokoimecs Thank you for the eleborate answer. I have had a lot of struggles with the vertical camera angle (seeing only snow and skis or just sky) using a side helmet mount (with a sony as100v) but using a taller sensor does sound like a better solution for that issue. Good to hear some of the downsides of 360 cameras. Might have to switch to a chest rig or a top helmet mount with a better gopro. I could always run a secondairy pole mount for non pov views.

Hi. I've been watching your ski videos for a long time. Its makes me want to go skiing in Austria, in Ischgl, Silvretta arena ski resort. Could you tell me what is the best location to rent a apartment, or a hotel room. To Ischgl ? If possible near the ski lifts. Thanks in advance , and have a good 2024 2025 ski season.
