Looks like the perfect run for my 42yo bad knees... long, gentle, and scenic

Beautiful. Few times are as good as a bluebird day at a classic ski resort.

I'm a novice skier who's headed to Banff in March 2020 - this looks like a run I could manage with hardly any screaming at all. Being in Canada, does that mean that slow moving traffic should stick to the right of the trail?

I love skiing there, you'll have a blast! The general rule (everywhere, not just in Canada) is that people downhill of you have priority and if you are moving faster than somebody else it's up to you to avoid them. Or to put it another way, as a novice people should be trying to avoid you. You shouldn't have to do anything special to stay out of their way. There's no left/right side of the slope convention - use however much of it you need to control your speed.

@Lucas Miller Gday Lucas - as it turned out, we just made it - we left Banff on the day they shut the ski fields. I have a better grasp of the 'road rules' of skiing now - lessons FTW! - and I did manage to get down Pika, even without an instructor (and with a minimum of screaming). It was awesome! I have to say, though, what constitutes a 'green' run is Canada was a bit different to what constitutes a 'green' run Down Under. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Eagle Meadows... As you said, it's all about keeping a few neurons available to monitor surroundings. And watching out for snowboarders. (They really are the cane toads of the ski fields, an introduced pest...) I did also get some good advice from a young Canadian gentleman, about 5 years old, on a day when visibility wasn't so good, and I was having trouble working out exactly where the run went: "You point down the hill, then you go, until you stop." Can't argue with that.

How are you getting the heads up display info on your video? Love the map on the top left corner!

GoPro black cameras record the telemetry and embed the data into the video, but getting it out is a PITA. You can also use mobile phone GPS apps to record a track, which is probably easier. Once I have the GPS data I use Dashware to render the dials out to a greenscreen, then composite that onto the movie in a separate video editor - www.dashware.net/
