Your guilty pleasure 😂😂👏 that’s so funny! For handstands I’d recommend many presses against the wall! And thinking of bringing your feet towards your ears as you straddle! (Instead of kicking out, you pull them towards you so that your weight stays over the bar!)

Hi Sophia! You probably won’t see this but I’m a really big fan. I came up a with a huge bar combination but I would never be brave enough to do it. I thought you would be a perfect person to try it so here it is; Bail or shoot over to reverse grip into a forward giant then yaiger (Idk if that’s how u spell it) in what ever position needed (pike straddle etc)
@sophiacampanagymnast8 ай бұрын
Hi Lucyyyy! (If your name is the same as your username🤣) this idea is actually so cool! It is insanity as well HAHA. Maybe I can play with just the bail landing in reverse grip- even though bails already freak me out catching normally 😂😂😂 what an awesome idea, you rock! Thanks!!🩷🩷🩷

wow baby Tourischeva was a warrior that woman was built like a tank in all meanings of the word, mentally, physically you choose: "grips? what's grips? i don't need this sh** whatever it is!" that's probably what she would've said back in her day lol. i will never forget that video from when the bar collapse while she was dismounting and she just finished her dismount, presented to the judges and left the podium all while the bars came apart behind her and she didn't even look back to see what had happened to the bars, all like: "i'm a professional i've come here for business, my job was completed successfully so the bars and what happens to it after i'm off of it is none of my concern" she was a boss! everybody remembers Olga Korbut for her performance in the 72' Olympics but let's not forget that in the all around comp while Korbut was having her "little girl" moment and falling apart making silly mistakes, who was the boss who kept the house together and her mind on the deal to bring back gold for mother Russia? Exactly, Tourischeva!

What is your favorite event? I personally love bars because I have a more aggressive approach with most skills and bars really lets me slow down and feel the rhythm.
@sophiacampanagymnast8 ай бұрын
Wow I can totally relate! I use to go all aggression/strength on bars when I was littler and didn’t understand how the bars bounce, and it was way harder 😂 now that I understand the rhythm like you’re saying, I feel that “entering the flow”. I think that may be why I like it so much too! Love the way you described that. I honestly love all events personally. Floor dance is fun, and tumbling. Sticking beam skills - also super satisfying 😂 hahah!

I think up to level 5 or so, it's not necessary, but once you start swinging giants, clear hips that kind of thing you should start getting familiar with grips. Even in 5 though they are getting clear hips and doing tap swings. My gym starts grips at level 4
