@@fabio4079 true, from my experience I found if youre playing vs an early game jungler who likes to invade you you should do that trick every time, and start on the side of the map that is opposite of where they usually like to start, or for low elo, you start topside since most low elo junglers start with their botlane, that way you can avoid them early

I think that the reason why people still go 2 buffs into wolves is because it would previously give you level 3. Some people just dont bother to look at jungle changes and at the same time, when a game is played casually, i dont think there is enough time to catch up with the different jungle routes. Though those are my 2 cents

Maybe this is Hecarim specific, but I clear 4 camp red->raptors->wolves->blue (or reverse) in similar time and with more health than it takes to do red->blue->gromp (tested in practice tool). Hec has such a bad gromp clear and such a good raptors/wolves clear that it makes more sense to 4 camp for lvl 3. Then I can start dragging my blue to the river and be able to gank faster top or mid and still make it back in time for scuttle. I've been getting great starts most games by doing it, sometimes even invading and catching my opponent in the jungle. Can't comment on the specific jungler champs in the video, but I don't think 4-camp for lvl 3 is automatically bad. You guys even note that sometimes pros do it for specific reasons.

For me, the only reason for not getting lv 3 with 3 camps is to skip Gromp to "Full Clear - Gromp". If i play Nocturne and start blue for whatever reason, i usually skip Gromp to secure a scuttle. But it would also work for other junglers that cant do Krugs/Gromp. Okay and if i'm Invading Red lv 1, i usually steal the raptors as well, not getting lv 3 from that, but that is another topic

As a Ivern OTP i can tell that 2 of those mistakes can never be made, and the last one: I just don't change to red trinket at lvl 1. First one: Ivern's routes are completely different + krugs gives much less gold and exp. Second one: Ivern does not push scuttle. Ofc it is very important in some cases to use not only scuttle but all camps as a living shield. Especially against Graves. You can also (in late game) help your team take jgl camps by rooting them and shieling ally. And third mistake I never make, because I prefer having a ward to put it into my bush in baron/dragon pit. Also I play deeply in enemy jungle, so I often ward there like Canyon did. Only time I change to oracle is when we are loosing and I bought relic shield to help clear minions and to have wards.

About the first mistake. I do it with Nunu all the time for a reason. First, you clear raptors almost instantly even at lvl 2 and wolves are easy Gromp and Golems take way longer, so it almost evens out and the pathing is shorter It also gives you more flexibility. Clearing one side and ganking leaves you wide open to getting 3-buffed. Having Gromp/Golems up means that if there are no gank opportunities they will be closer and you can fall back on them to clear and see if one opens up. If you cleared the entire side you will be left with very awkward pathing optionsif you wanted to gank that side

Skillcapped, I think you're oversimplifying a bit on the value of the fastest possible level 3. At 5:00 (vod time) you exactly outline the optimum talisman clear. I've played this route out with Mao on five servers this season, between Gold and Grandmaster, and it is highly reliable. A four-camp clear leads to a nice 2:45 side-lane gank, a tri-bush ward, sap priority for first scuttle, a transition gank mid, potential double scuttle, and a gank on the other side-lane. At this point Raptors and Wolves respawn, so you can potentially manipulate your recall gold a little (i.e., greed, obviously at the expense of delayed round 2 pressure). At level 3, Mao can 1v1 any enemy jg, minus Mundo, Voli, Ww, and Nunu (my preferred ban if Samira is already banned), and consequently win 2v2 into almost any countergank top lane around 2:45. Also note: This clear WILL prevent an enemy 3-buff opening (I have caught many Lee's trying). This clear WILL enable counterganks on all but the cleanest of the fast-level-3 ganks you advocate. Weaknesses: Laners getting solo-killed level 1. Laners dying to the enemy level 2 gank you warned them about. Laners getting solo-killed level 1. All ally laners pushing and the enemy not ganking (so you cannot countergank), but in this case you can take gromp, ward for a pushing laner, and secure scuttles. Above all, laners getting solo-killed level 1 (AHEM, NA players trying new champions in ranked...).

Blue, Red, Raptors leaves me at lvl 2 in Pre-season. I do red, krugs, frog, or blue, frog, red, gets me to lvl 3 at about 2:50 if my camp kiting is on point and I can gank/presure top & mid then eat the scuttle by the time my opponent is finishing his red buff.

at the situation at 8:28 I think the real problem is that Kha warded and voli stayed to take blue buff inside vision. If you are spotted while invading you need to run like the police is coming or you get collapsed, but he stayed for the buff.

I have adopted a new strategy that has proven to work surprisingly well for me recently, and gives at least level 3 (idr). Basically I just get my team to full or at least 4 man invade every single game. Assuming I get buff the clear is different playing from bottom or top. If I am playing from the bottom we go up through river close to tower, around blue and crash from above. Assuming I get blue, I take group rapidly for heal while I have someone else left to help or if everyone else is gone I go straight for my red, then I immediately go up to my blue then jungle from there either ganking or reverse clearing, and basically all the same if playing from the top except if we killed then enemy jungler at least once I will take their raptors before moving up to my blue then gromp then my red. Since I play talon, starting on their red is really good but I often still have to back after getting back to mine because his first clear isn't to healthy but by then I will usually have CDR boots and a long sword so good back. From there once again jungle as normal but with lots of random invading for camps especially buffs since I have advance knowledge on their respawn times

First 6:17 minutes of videos are just a lot of word looping to get the video longer, you can see the jgl paths for 3camps lvl3 @ 6:18 . The rest of the video is basically "push cattle to the mid if you want double cattle, push to the lanes if you want cattle gank" and "invade if you got advantage and a capable Champion". There is a cap people notice when you talk a little more and when you just need to get longer vids for watch time. This is the second case scenario. Useful video btw, but very little content, 15+ minutes for content you needed 3 minutes max to tell.

You dont need to clear for level 3 from 3 camps every time, take graves for example his most common clear is Red Raptors wolvz Blue Gromp Crab (gank/vision then recall) then do kruggs and clear upward ect, this path sets him up to get to scuttle at almost the exact time it spawns and sets him up for a perfect full clear respawn time after backing, plus graves with e+q is pretty much as good as e+q+w in an invade senario.

You say you don’t know why these jungles path the way they do yet the reason is extremely simple and obvious. There is NO Tutorial of how to jungle in Riots own game so of course literally everyone starting to jungle of having had jungled still have no clue unless they outsource and look up “what is jungling” this is one of Riot’s problems they never bother to fix directly yet they instead throw in some jungle changes confusing new jungles further.

4:05 I haven't watched more, but I'm a new jungler and the route I like to take is ( on Ekko ) The frog, then blue, then wolves ( gets me level 3 ) go to raptors, red and then sand dudies lol, then I recall and buy boots, I don't die at all, I use smite halfway through the frog fight, fight blue with max health because he heals me and then I kill wolves no problem ( I fight Gromp with 'W' and get 'E( my dash) for blue. Then I unlock Q after the wolves and go on to raptors, red and sand dudies. Is this good? Also, really like your vids :D

The best time is before the 14th minute because plates drop then. The best lane to use is a lane that has 2-2.5 plates because the rift takes exactly two plates, so you can use it to get more than just one turret or just deal a lot of damage to the T2 turret.

The biggest mistake ever made by my jungler : So i was playing top lane, irelia. I was doing good. But the mid/bot lane were loosing hard. And he, instead of coming to me to push rather harder then the enemies on the other side of the map. He just jumped in a 3v1 and kept feeding. Happy loosing. The jungler was an udyr.

Hey, thank you for the advice on the quick 3 strats. I'm watching a replay and this basically won me a game in 4.5 minutes in ranked, Bronze 4 Jungler vs a Flex Gold 2 Jungler. Yi vs Nasus top, Nasus was bullying Yi. Hecarim Goes Blue > Frog > Wolves > Raven > Red I(Nocturne) go Red > Blue > Frog > Gank Nasus is pushed far enough even ward vision doesn't stop the gank, spellshield eats wither, we get a successful kill slightly under tower, Hecarim had like an IMMEDIATE response to me entering vision and abandons his red. He arrives after we kill Nasus slightly under tower and we got a double. Nasus TP'd back, Hecarim goes for his red again, I go scuttle, I return for another gank and we get another 2 kills because Nasus went pure aggro and tried to shove Yi really hard again while I was in the neighborhood still. Nasus actually quits 4:30 in. Obviously wouldn't have happened if Arcane Comet Nasus wasn't bullying Yi so hard and shoving lane that far, but better understanding of jungle pathing opened that opportunity wide open for me to capitalize on and otherwise close out a game that I thought we had lost at the champion draft. These videos are actually really informative and easily actionable beyond "play better" or "have insane mechanics." The biggest differences usually -are- low hanging fruit.

I've seen people talk about champs like hecarim and ekko that take talisman that don't like doing 3 camp clears. Yes, there are champs that break the rule in the video because they actually do 4 camp clears much faster than they do 3 camp clears because of their aoe dmg; they also don't like doing gromp or krugs because they get too low while doing those high hp camps.

For me jungling, I main Shyvana. Many will tell me shyvana is op and needs no help. But I play her in wr and that means her jungle clear early game before lv 5 is very slow but not the slowest because her early game is low damage hits against monsters. To counter this I go with blue buff first automatically destroying any reason I need to go back to base before reaching lv 5 which only takes me 3 minutes. Taking blue buff first allows me to clear both sides of my jungle before the 3 minute mark allowing me to grab scuttler, go back to base and head to dragon, rift, or a lane to gank with atleast my first item or mostly built first item.

what about champions that have aoe and are not strong versus single target camps? isn't it more optimal for them to go red raptors wolves blue for example?

If I get jungle, I almost only play Rammus. With him I always do raptors, red, and krugs. Easy level 3, and may be able to gank top. If it is mid that needs gank or I can continou my route, I loose a bit of time, but with the Q it is not that big of a gap. At least I think.

As a person with 0map awareness i like the sweeper trick lvl1. I give 0shits about my lvl1 ward so i just place it randomly in pixel or at the enemy blue/red if i can. Sweeper gives me the confidence that the enemy team has no vision while lvl3 ganking or ganking in general. Its nice to have a ward sometimes but its always nice to have sweeper

you should be looking to improve your map awareness then, because if you know you don't know where to drop wards you probably are scanning the wrong places as well. at least a ward gives you vision for a while

Well turns out a lot of people dont know about specifics in jungle monster data, if i started playing jungle now how should i know who yields more exp anyways? watch a tutorial? so its required to watch tutorials to jungle good? its just overcomplicated

It's only a problem if you planning to gank immediately... I play hecarim and if I start red side i clear red>chicken>wolves>blue>gromp>critter/gank. If I start blue side I do 3 clear for lvl 3 and look for mid gank or go to red.

I finish 4 camps with hecarim and the scuttle still doesnt spawn xD (red-> raptors-> wolves-> blue) i would be level 3 by then, id be looking if the nearby lanes are gankable. If not, ill just go gromp then scuttle

3 camp level 2 isn't a bad thing, I usually should 5 camp route then sculter, it depend on clear speed of champion that you play. Such as, I play Nunu or Olaf, I can get level 3 with 4 camps at the same time that Lee sin level 3 with 3 camps.

I really don't understand why not being lvl 3 after 3 camps is such a big problem. I don't play jungle that much since it's my worst role but I do enjoy playing it here and there. But, I almost never get invaded and myself tend to not invade because I do not trust my teammates to come if needed (if they have prio).

As answer for #1 It just feels like it should be faster to go from blue, grump, then depending on your champ wolfs or raptors then red. It feels like a waste of time if you don't do those middle camps

THe jungle route thing: I jsut checked the top rated vi guide, there the 2 buffs+wolves are written as routes, maybe thats why its like that.

the third tip i imagine will help a lot. I play graves and do the route (not always but most of the time) my red into their blue and gromp. this is a great time for me to drop a good deep ward

I dont know, that should only work if your enemy clears all of his red side camps, like Karthus or Kayn might do. Could be working if you have prio and win the 1v1 (like with Lee Sin against Eve) but in that case, your team has to know how to use prio, but they usually dont

Well, if the Matchup is right and you have prio, this might work. But Graves is more known for doing red and then dashing over dragon pit to contest the enemy gromp... If your opponent starts blue, you might try this trick, since red buff is usually stronger in a 1v1. But only do it if you can kite your red buff and dash over the wall as soon as the red is cleared

As a low elo jungler myself, I think the higher you get the more valuable it becomes since the vision game really skyrockets the higher you play. Having that extra vision is great. Sadly, when I use it I find 3 wards in the entire game and it doesn't give me that much.

I'm not so sure lee made a mistake by not pushing scuttle towards mid. If he did, Hecarim was there and he could've easily smite steal it while Lee had cd on his own smite. Afterwards Heca could easily run away if lee tried to engage. And one thing to note about low elo is that mid priority means very little because players are often blind and deaf to pings, so if veigar reacts and yasuo does not not, an invade could be suicide or waste of time if you're lucky.
