I'd say that rogue is harder to play in general. Well used both classes are top tier but usually mage is more op and easier to play.

If you make any warlock guides, please mention how to do it on both SL and destro specs. Also, if you do a warlock guide, make one on how to beat shadow priests. As SL. I find this match up incredibly hard due to the amount of purge spam to nullify my dmg reduction, absorbs, and NF procs. They also have the silence, dispel against corruption, and enough sustain to not die to warlock dots.

in wow classic, rogue is a fun class for world pvp, leveling, completing quests by soloing with stealth. pvp duels, easier to use another class.

Really good video, but I was disappointed when I found out that the video only gave the mages point of view. The title is very misleading. I have a 60 rogue, but I can't utilize most of this information without leveling and gearing a 60 mage.

a prepared frost mage usually takes a rogue. barrier+frostbite too strong, too many absorb/kite factors. wpvp/unorganized a rogue have much greater potential. I vividly remember dueling a rogue at level 44~ I got like x5 frostbites, totally ridiculous.

Yea, but health and armor don’t mean anything when you have one of the best toolkits in the game - cc breakers, kiting capabilities, high mobility, fat damage that goes through armor, etc.

@@Xymanth2 Well i'll think about that when a rogue bodies me for 80% of my health in the opener next time. Most people agree the matchup is quite balanced, so I don't know where this video maker gets the idea mage is the most broken class in WoW

Zel I honestly feel like they are the “most broken” class in WoW, but I don’t think they are by a large margin. They have a toolkit that’s probably only outdone by a warlock, fantastic kiting potential, and are by far the best goldmakers in the game. A rich mage is a mage who can afford the high end engineering gadgets and pots, which put you at a huge advantage when fighting anyone. I’ll agree, in your scenario, it’s tough to counteract a rogue opener, but I think that matchup is 50/50. Frost mages can shield and iceblock, negating damage and a large number of ccs. That’s also not to mention the ridiculous range of a jumping frost nova, which can take rogues out of stealth if you get a good read. Most classes don’t have the privileges a mage has during pvp.
