communication skills are definitely the toughest to learn for me apart from body language and public speaking, i think are important also business communication, knowing how to negotiate and also voice training (is needed for public speaking and especially for phone communication since they don't see you and your voice is the only thing the other person can judge you on)

Hi Dom! I have to learn also and now I understand the importance of the soft skills. We are always communicating but we do not if we are communicating correctly.

Exactly communication is the key. If you don't communicate the right way at the right time it wouldn't matter how much you know. Its important to learn the art of presenting yourself even if you know nothing at early stages of your career. probe but don't remain silent

Thanks so much for posting all of these career development and planning videos, they really reminded me that I do have what it takes to have a successful life and career, a successful future. I don't really ever think of soft skills that I have when applying for a workplace, which is probably why it's so difficult for me to find an entry-level position that I actually enjoy and can stick with, also probably part of the reason why I never get hired anywhere. Thank you for this quick refresher and tune up on the potential and skills I really do have. I feel more confident and hopeful in my job search and college course attendance now.

I believe the best way to choose the perfect career for you and develop and advance in it is to know what your interests, desires, values, and passions are and what you want to accomplish in the world and what's important to you. You should look at your experiences and daily activities and ask others what your abilities and skills are and find out what your knowledgeable about by getting a general education. You can research college to find what best suits your needs and research descriptions of jobs and all other information to know what they entail. It's good to have a resume with not only job experiences, volunteering, abilities, skills, values, passions, personality traits, accomplishments, interests, and hobbies. You want to have good references who know your character well and past employers and coworkers who know your work ethic. You should also make a list of possible questions during interviews and the best ways to answer. That way you have a career you love, enjoy, and are good at.
