Story
With the invention of hibernation technologies it is now possible for humans to travel to the stars. However, the Magella Science Expedition, the first manned mission to other star systems, has been declared missing after failing to establish communications.
You have been chosen to captain the hastily designed Voyager-19 space probe; a rudimentary spacecraft equipped with a hibernation pod and fractional light-speed capable engines, to search for the missing science mission.

This was so cool! I love space too, but it’s terrifying to think what would happen to us if we went unprotected in the vacuum of space. Tongue and eyes would feel like they’re burning, any air in our bodies would expand, we would gasp for air to no avail. Worst of all, death would not be as immediate as some movies would have us believe…

Oh thank goodness you picked this up. I've seen IGP play many of these types of games in the past, and knew it was coming. He would go crazy over this, I think? Voices of The Void is great. I've played it twice now for live streams. It is a little tedious but other then that awesome game. I like games like this because they hit different with a slow dread building.

That's a good theory or point. I just assumed that the acceleration of the space craft going a fraction of light speed had an added effect of some gravity with it's rotation.

7:30 I recently saw an interesting comparison: if the sun were the size of a golf ball and you wanted to go to the nearest star, that would still be over 1300 km (800 miles). At this scale, the Earth would be the size of a pinhead. And it works the same way in the other direction: compared to an atom, a person is a universe. Simply unimaginable 👀🤯.

Skilly there is no gravity in space so you wouldn't become fatigued from standing as you would on earth. it'd be no different than laying down. :)

Yeah I know. I realized I made an assumption that the space craft would have some kind of artificial gravity generation either from rotation or thrust. Because being in no gravity for that long has bad effects on human physiology. But I guess it was always a one way ticket.

I've ran into some SERIOUS game breaking lag though towards, what I beleive to be , the end that I'm trying to find a way to navigate around. Other than that though the game has been a very enjoyable experience overall . It's also spurred me to pick Elden ring back up after I finish.

So, I know you're done with the game, but I had a thought. Wouldn't the larger 'planets' be the stars and that is then where the light is coming from? Mayhaps be why towards the end, as you passed by the one star that your screen screwed up a bit was because you got close to it and got some radiation from it that made the screen worse. Also provokes another thought of when you took the picture, and it looked like it sort of latched on to you, if you could have quickly turned on the navigation, went towards the star, then turned on thrusters to see if you could pull it with you or get away from it being so close to a star. Just some idle thoughts, of course.

The larger bodies could have been stars. Once the ending started though I couldn’t turn on power to anything. I tried once and it didn’t work. I think once it grabbed my ship it was over.

Ah, space. The place where no one can hear you scream. I should warn you about this one chic I met once. Kinda clingy, likes to grab faces, great kisser though, always leaves her gum in your mouth. Hope that is OK. Be ready for serious heartburn, feels like it's bursting from your chest. Gotta love children also, tons of kids every where, climbing on every thing.
