Back in 84, I learned how to surf, when I was living in Costa Mesa. I surfed Newport and Huntington. Yeah, I know all about the Wedge, the dirty nasty old Wedge. Never surfed it, but did watch others, even pulled a few out of the surf after they got clobbered by it. I miss those days.

I’d love to know if the city did an Environmental Impact Assessment before they bust this open. That species of fish is very likely endangered at worst and at best, that water is most certainly a Point Source for pollutant’s spewed into the pacific. I’m sure this breach is a commonplace occurrence and green peace likely should be informed! #greenpeace
