In this video, I have described the extent, and Layers of the anterior abdominal wall. From the layers, I have discussed only skin and superficial fascia. The skin has a scar called umbilicus and Langer lines. Superficial fascia consists of a two-layer, the superficial layer is fatty (Camper's fascia) and the deep layer is membranous (Scarpa's fascia). In this lecture, I have described the blood supply and nerve supply of the anterior abdominal wall also.
I discussed the umbilicus in detail. It is the site where three systems meet. Here there are veins that are forming portosystemic anastomosis, which will be dilated in case of portal hypertension.
