Before I discovered Korean toners thanks to KZbinrs like yourself, I relied exclusively on thermal water sprays for toners and they worked so much better for my sensitive skin than all the other stripping, full of alcohol toners. I still always have a thermal water bottle at the ready, although these days I'm spoilt for choice in terms of hydrating, gentle toners 😊

I never get tired of hearing about barrier support! Stratia liquid gold is my fave. Thanks for informing us about the micro biome. I don’t feel like I have to worry it about it too much, but I might try pre/probiotic skincare in the future. Who knows?

Glad you enjoyed this! I think if your skin feels good and healthy you can rest assured that your biome is healthy too!

Girl you should do a plant tour! I also think it would be a cool video where you talk about your crystals and which ones you like working with. 😊

I love the jungle vibe that and crystals is a super relaxing beautiful look.

Thank you for clarifying this! Unfortunately, any kind of fermented/pre/probiotic products break me out, so I'll stick to different barrier-supporting lipid ingredients 😊

I love this video. I’m all about barrier and micro biome support. I am currently absolutely loving CCLIMGLAM Cerabiotics. It has 5 ceramides, probiotics and uses beta-glucan instead of HA. In Colorado that’s helpful. Lol. I just wish there was more reviews on it, it’s absolutely amazing.

Ooo that sounds super good, thank you for introducing us to it!
@LisaThinksALot2 жыл бұрын
I'll have to try that! Also in CO and the struggle is real -- I can't live without a ceramide serum and HA just wrecks me.

not me all these while thinking that pre and probiotics labelled on skincare container is just a marketing gimmick😫 I'm so glad kelly educate us here.

It's a little bit of both! Definitely emerging studies show that the microbiome is important and skincare can play a role in it. But it's always important to understand that we are just starting to understand how this all works, definitely marketing is taking up the trend fast!

the opening of the video ... my house is slowly becoming a jungle, hit a little too close to home for me😅🪴 same Kelly! I have so many plants and I'm also into propagating them, so it's a lot. Besides the gorgeous pothos plants in the background I spy a bird of paradise, is it a nicolai? My Reggie is a bird of paradise reginae and I love it. The microbiome care is actually in some of my all time OG products; for example prebiotic ingredient fructooligosaccharides are in the AR version of the Bioderma Sensibio micellar water. I recently looked into the RiRe Bifida Ampoule 97% and found it quite impressive from the ingredients and was shocked that I'd never heard of it before...
@KellyDriscoll2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's nicolai, great eye! The plant obsession is so satisfying, even if I'm running out of room! 😅 I'm also getting into propagation, these 2 mama pothos already have a few babies in my apartment!

Does Stratia fortify ever clog pores if used too often? I’m similar to you skincare wise but I’m scared to try the fortify. My skin gets clogged toooooo easily

Check out CureCode by Neopharm/Dr Raymond Labs. The line focuses on the microbiome and the ampule, gel, and ointment are excellent. (The other products in this line have fragrance.) My skin became painfully irritated and patchy recently and these products were a god-send. I use them in my daily routine now.

What are your thoughts on the ‘Manyo - Bifida Biome Ampoule Toner’ and ‘Manyo - Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule’? Are the similar or different from the ‘ROVECTIN - Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule’?

Kelly, my eye spys a new thing on the skincare tower. Did you get in PR the Biosance eye cream and moisturizer. Or did you watch the Doctorly formum? with Dr. Shaw and Dr. Maxfeild. Me and my husband Love to watch them too

What about Rosacea type 1? Does the wrong microbiome and deminished barrier make it worse?

What do you think of The Inkey List Multi-biotic product? The Avene water is less expensive, which is the reason I buy it instead of the LRP. Do you think the LRP is significantly better and, therefore, worth the money? Have you tried the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Day Cream with SPF 30? I’m currently testing it. So far, I’m impressed.

So, I’m currently using Curology tretinoin with 1% Clindamycin. Do we know what topical antibiotics mean for all of this? 🤔
@TheJAM1162 жыл бұрын
Yeah I wonder how damaging it is for the skin micro biome
@KellyDriscoll2 жыл бұрын
This is would be a great question for your dermatologist, it's a bit out of my wheelhouse but it would be interesting to know if Clindamycin targets just "bad" bacteria like the one that causes acne or if it targets ALL bacteria.

Hey Kelly, what would you recommend if one cannot get Stratia liquid gold or Krave barrier relief? Thanks! ❤
@ciara.russell2 жыл бұрын
Hi I live in Canada and can't get these, personally I use the illiyoon ceramide ato cream - it has ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids!
@dl61702 жыл бұрын
@@ciara.russell I’m worried it’d be too heavy for me. My skin can’t handle heavy moisturizers, I was thinking to get the lotion though.
@KellyDriscoll2 жыл бұрын
Ciara has the same thinking as me! anything with ceramides cholesterol and fatty acids will do, Cerave moisturizing cream or lotion, Illiyoon cream or lotion, RNW ceramide serum all have this combo. You can check out the linked video in description box for more suggestions on ceramide skincare.
