@gabriellanoelle16064 жыл бұрын
This is facts. Actually this tip should be given and forced upon kids even when they're under or around 10 years of age honestly lol. Manipulation of acne by picking and etc can lead to permanent scaring. I've experienced this 1st hand. It's better to have a huge pimple on your face for a month or more rather than having a permanent acne scar for life.
@kylebolton81474 жыл бұрын
@@nesab2671 For me I have two types of picking: A) I kind of pick at my face while working on something and I want to keep my hands busy. B) I stand in front of the mirror and squeeze and squeeze (I have acne) at my face for several minutes. For the B thing I would put a little note by the mirror to remind yourself not to pick and NEVER EVER look really really close up in the mirror. You will just see imperfections that are natural and normal but you'll want to pick them off. For A I would say find something else to keep your hands busy. You can also put on patches or Vaseline with a bandaid on top to help the pimple heal without you being able to scratch at it. It can also maybe help to wear gloves because you can't really pick with gloves on. I also find that after a picking session where I feel so gross after it can be helpful to record a video of yourself or write a little journal entry to remind yourself of how it feels. I hope this helps! Dermatillomania is a serious issue but we can all overcome it! I wish you the best

Just be careful about using a chemical sunscreen (opposed to physical/mineral) bc studies have shown it harms aquatic life and it has been found in unborn fetuses. Physical sunscreens sit on top of your skin instead of being absorbed into it like chemical sunscreens so.There aren’t studies on its longterm effect on humans but if it hurts another living being, it’ll probably hurt me too. I recommend using a physical sunscreen, they reflect sunrays away instead of absorbing them like chemical sunscreens do. The downside is it can leave a whitecast, so try getting one with a tint.

I agree with using many products I am 22 years old and I have acne and acne scars I wanted sooo bad to get rid of it that I used 10 different products Chemical exfoliant, vitamin c, so many different cremes but I didn't see any differences So I started using only 3 products Clenser (oil one and gel one) only in the evening, moisturiser and spf Such a difference in such a little time and of course my wallet thanks me

Such great advice for skincare in your 20s! I’ve been focusing on hydration and sun protection, but Dr. Dray’s insights on active ingredients like retinol and antioxidants are a game-changer. Looking forward to implementing her tips and keeping my skin looking youthful for years to come

Really appreciate this-I feel like the beauty industry is just trying to make money and convince us to buy like twenty different products and it’s so confusing and frustrating. I really appreciate a professional coming forward and talking about what we actually need

I was afraid I don't use enough products so it's great to hear that less is more when it comes to skincare. Most KZbinrs talk about layering and 7 step skincare routines. It's just crazy.

I’m 20 and it literally disgusts me how the majority of people my age are so uneducated regarding this topic. My skincare routine consists of Cerave and La Roche posay products and it’s made a huge difference with my oil production and overall complexion. I also wear sunscreen and have gotten my 15 yr old sister to wear it everyday as well. My grandmother and my mom have this obsession with Lancôme and their highly fragranced serums and moisturizers and seeing that everyday in their bathroom makes my skin cry. I wish more people in their 20s and EVERY AGE would take their time to watch videos like these coming from professionals rather than people who claim to know so much but have no degree to back it up. Love your content!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️

Having painful flashbacks to when my derm sent me for a 10x UV therapy course for my acne when I was 16, just sitting there with my face under a UV lamp for a while. Didn't help and I guess now it'll come back to bite me big time.

Can you do a skin care in your 50s video please.🙏 What products do you recommend for this age range? My mom speaks spanish and it's a shame she can't view your videos because I know she'd love them. I want to help her find products that can help her with her melasma. I've been sharing with her things I've learned from your videos.

Hello Dr.Dray ! Just here to thank you so much for this video. My skin is dry & of color. I suffer from Keratosis Polaris as a side effect of my eczema I believe and it made my skin have a lot of texture and dry acne that was difficult to exfoliate. I was under the category of people in their 20’s who was over-exfoliating and not truly knowing how to do it effectively. I added the Cerave Resurfacing Retinol Serum to my routine at night and OMG I’ve never had my skin so smooth and texture-less and it even is keeping my acne at bay without having to exfoliate at all this week. Thank you !!!!

I am 26. Just started using sunscreen since 2020 March. Hope not late. I read and watch so much in few months, buy a lot of products, very complicated. I am trying to minimize it. In the mornings, after cleansing, I use Hyaluronic acid on damp skin, Azelaic acid, Q10 serum, moisturizer then SPF. In the evening, after double cleansing, I use Hyaluronic acid on damp skin, moisturizer, differin. I also use facial oil😀

I used to almost NEVER wear sunscreen unless I was going to the beach/ pool and I live in a sunny area. I started wearing sunscreen after watching your video on how to use Differin, at the time I was just advised to use differin and was given no other instructions. Even though I absolutely hated differin, because of using it and finding your video I started wearing sunscreen everyday! Thank you Dr dray and sunscreen 🙌
