I would recommend Evy sunscreen for oily skin. Also it works great for makeup. And it does not require reapplication

I'm so excited I just found your channel, immediately subscribed. We need more scientists like you putting out fact and not fear-based skincare information - thank you for all you do for us! My question for you is this - it looks like some of the newer filters that not available in the US are best for UVA protection. Since I don't have easy access to them here, is zinc oxide sufficient to protect against UVA rays for preventing premature aging or should do you personally think it's worth it to try to get sunscreen imported? And if it is sufficient, should it be a certain percentage, nano vs non-nano, etc.? Thank you so much again!

I used to have very oily t zone and it was embarrassing but the way I got rid of it was just by using dehydrated and moisturising products. Doesn’t make sense to me but it works and I’ve not had any oil slick since ❤

i have a question. i have oily/combo skin and i use the corsx SA cleanser (0.5%) everyday once at night. i do not see any damages to my skin barrier but i know that damage to the skin barrier can show up years later. so my question is do i stop using it every day?

I always have this question in my mind: can I put sunscreen on my eyelids and in the undereye area? I know it’s important to cover every spot in the face but is it safe? Every sunscreen? :) thanks

Hey Ramon, do you think you could go into the controversies over glutathione? Some drs in the west are saying it could potentially be dangerous but then it’s a very popular brightening ingredient in the east. It seems to have amazing brightening effects though so it would be nice to know if it’s actually safe or not to use.

I have not been made aware of any controversy with the ingredient before? It’s still widely used in the west last I noticed. Is there more context to this?

Hey Ramon, what are the most matte sunscreens you tried thus far, which are fragrance free and preferably use mostly the "newer" organic filters? Thus far the one that works best for me is the Eucerin Oil Control, it's not matte unfortunately, but not too glowy either, no whitecast, mostly modern filters, but I do notice it does dry out a bit, and it also burns my eyes, it just seems to increase fine lines on my cheeks. Second best so far is the Garnier Invisible Serum Super UV, though with moisturizer its still too glowy, without it's too drying. There are many EU and Korean sunscreens with nice filters that are fragrance and essential oil free, P20, Beauty of Joseon, Purito Daily Soft, Biodermal Ultralichte Zon Gel-creme, but they are all too glowy for me.. Maybe you have some other tips?

@ depends, with Eucerin I do apply Transparent Lab Bakuchiol cream underneith, otherwise its too drying. With Biodermal I can apply the sunscreen on its own. Though I also use Geek&Gorgeous C15. You would recommend to wear the sunscreens on their own, nothing underneith?

If you’re using something that’s supposed to be mattifying, layering anything underneath with compromise the ‘matteness’ to some degree unfortunately. With the more targeted with moisturizer or use a thinner lighter gel texture.

Is there a difference between moisturising and hydrating?

I see it as: hydrating is adding water into the skin, moisturizing is adding water AND keeping it in the skin. Someone else can probably explain it better

Ive tried so many different skincare routines (japanese, korean and french). I think it's best to simplify and use ingredients that nourish the skin. Im a big fan of Niod (the mist and copper peptides), retin A, Bha (Biologique recherche and Cosrx), niacinamide (paulas choice) and now i use creamy face washes like (cleau de peau) and double cleanse with Shu Uemura antu oxi cleansing oils. I prefer Korean and aome french pharmacy brands. The best face cream i ever tried was from Sulwashoo and La roch posay (cicablast). I try to catch a sale for that Sulwashoo cream 😂😂😂 I also prefer Japanese sunscreen (Skin Aqua UV moisture cream).

Hey Ramon I love your videos and everything you stand for, but this one didn't really work in my opinion.. - this seems aimed at beginners but you're talking really fast and cramming in a lot of info that could be confusing (such as mentioning toners and essences when talking about a basic routine, and not really addressing the pros and cons of having certain numbers of skin care steps, in the first question). - you don't have to scrub your amazing personality just because of a Q&A/educational topic. Your personality is THE REASON we love you so much! Dr Idriss does education + personality very well. - Speaking slower doesn't= less engaging or less informative.
