Dr. Dray--I love your videos & expertise and although I do not have the expertise in the coffee area as you do as a doctor BUT I am going to suggest you try buying your coffee beans from a local roaster--use beans that have a roast date--there is a huge difference when you use fresh beans (they are best within 3 days to 3 weeks of roasting.) AND Get yourself a good grinder! The place the roasts the beans will be able to give suggestions. The bean roasters can give some suggestions on grinders. I promise you'll appreciate the difference! Thank you for what you do! You are so informative!

About the coffee…. It looks like you really are into it with 3 or 4 bags and a french press. I highly recommend getting a better grinder. I use the Breville Smart Grinder Pro. It’s a little pricey, but will let you dial in the best grind and dosing for the brew method. You will get so much more/better flavor out of your beans with the right grind.

I love the new place. There are a lot of homes in that style here in the Los Angeles area. I can’t way to see how you decorate it. Also, I tried the La Roche Posay Melasyl serum when they discontinued their niacinamide serum. I really liked it and makes my skin look hydrated. I do have some sensitivity to other niacinamide serums but do not have any issue with this serum. The fragrance doesn’t bother me. It’s a little strong but the fragrance itself is not unpleasant, and it dissipates quickly. I only used one bottle so I can’t say if it lessened any hyperpigmentation but I will use it again once I use up the current serum I’m trying out.

My favourites are their 2% Arbutin Serum, their Spf 60 sunscreen (this is my holy grail sunscreen), their 2% BHA + LHA face wash (it's quite gentle as well). I’ve tried quite a few and I was surprised by how much of a difference I felt in my skin when I tried the Cosrx. It’s the first one I’ve used where I noticed my skin actually looked plumper and felt more hydrated. Can’t speak on long term results yet, but it’s definitely helped with fine lines caused by dehydration and smoothing out the appearance of some of the more static lines I have too. You don’t need much either so the bottle will last a while.
