I just bought the new current body mask! It hurt bc I already have the Omnilux but tbh there are some things about it that I don’t love so I think I’m just going to use that on my chest and this on my face going forward. The under chin thing is great but more than that - the 1072 NIR lights around the mouth and eyes! That’s the best on the market imo! The tec stuff always gets me but I definitely think it’s the best long term investment outside of like plastic surgery lol so I’m excited to see how this goes! 🚨

I had to watch this video twice. The first time I was mesmerized by how br was utidul your eyes are and just how much that color on your eyes and top made your eyes pop. Holy cow. So yeah, I didn't hear a word the first time around. ❤😂. I've been using the higher dose red light led mask for 2 years and have had to use the warranty 2 separate times but I'm hooked on led. I didn't care much for micro current but I added radio frequency, growth factors and the VT reedle shot and kick started even better results. Loved this video ❤

Fragrance is ironically what bothers me about the Kbeauty brands for mature skin.. why are they so scented? 😭I don't find the fragrance in them to be irritating but it makes them less pleasant to use for me. Yehwadam goes a little lighter on it, but Chogongjin, Sooryehan, Whoo... they're so strong!

I have mentioned previously that I am doing a very deep dive into Hanbang skincare and I am not looking to build a huge routine with a bunch of expensive products. I am looking into each product, reading a bit, History of Whoo has a Canadian flagship store that I have contacted, I have also watched and watched again many videos from Odile Monod. I am looking to simplify my routine with products that will work with my very sensitive skin and I am also looking to not "switch" it up all of the time, I have a feeling that all of my previous testing of different products has elevated the sensitivity. I also find it very interesting to look into the history and ownership of some of these higher end product lines and the reason why they are priced the way they are is just so darn interesting (I love doing the research). Have a lovely night, Alice! 🌸💮🌸

Still haven't splurged on a device, which I think is the right decision for me right now. Thanks for the well thought out rhetoric that reinforced this! I'm still struggling with continuous acne, and would be worried about potential irritation, plus the time and energy investment in using a device regularly on top of my normal routine would likely be a bit much at this point in my life. However! I did splurge a little bit on a gift for my mom (who I have slowly been getting into skincare)for Christmas-- the Chogongjin Youngan Jin cream! I've seen you recommend it a number of times, and with it's luxury packaging design yet surprisingly low price tag (especially considering my mom is always insisting I don't spend money/too much money on her), I think it'll be perfect for the dry, cold winter. Thanks so much as always for all the reviews-- not only on behalf of myself, but my mom and sibling as well!

I rarely splurge. The only product I splurge on is the Dr Vanita hyperpigmentation kit, as it is the only thing that works for my PIH, being medium skin, I find that the most other products are not strong or effective enough for PIH on darker skins. I also think brands like Le mer, Prairie, Augustinian Baeder and all those crazy priced brands are complete rubbish, like the ingredients are comparable to an overpriced perfumed nivea cream. I am personally not a fan of all those devices, I am that type of person who would use it for a week and never touch it again, just like all those random kitchen gadgets people get. I just don't have time for them tbh
@pamoramaАй бұрын
Oh Alice, I so agree with everything you have to say in here. First of all, let's just talk about current body. That mask is a wonder in my opinion. I tried another very expensive and popular brand, a brand by the way, which most people don't have any issue with, and I broke out in hives when I used their mask. I don't know if the bulbs were too strong or what the deal was but I have no problem with the current body mask. In fact, I used it today. I love that mask so much. It's so comfortable on the face and I definitely notice a difference. And I am very curious about the current body RF device. Right now I'm using the tripolar stop which I like just fine, but I am curious about the CB one. And I've had precisely the same experience with luxury skincare. From Dr. Perricone to Erno Laslo back in the day, to just about any department store brand I just don't think they hold a candle to Korean brands or even brands like DRMTLGY, Timeless, Niod, Versed, Photozyme or any number of independent, less expensive brands.
@AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
Oh wow thank you for sharing your experience! And yep, those are all great brands too (I somehow still haven’t tried Timeless - no idea how just haven’t gotten around to it I guess!)

ummm ... I have interrupted the video to say - the reaction you had from the AUGUSTINUS BADER cream - is what happens when I use Retinal (in any form) and also Vitamin C (in any form) - my skin will also "puff" and it can take days or weeks for it to calm down. I am so sad, but not really - I have discovered new products now that work very well for me (at lease for the moment), lol.

Have you seen the comparison video reviews that Beauty Beyond 40 and Penn Smith Skincare have done with the Currentbody mask? Penny even did a blog post breaking down all the elements and how they compare. I've also heard Melanie from Ziip say that she knows the gels are expensive but you don't need a lot and they should last maybe 3x as long as others as you only need a few pumps. She also says the core gel container can be reused and you can refill it with one of the other gels that matches your skin best and that the gels are all designed to work together if you want to cocktail them. Penn Smith has even said she'll spray some water on her face over the gel because the glycerin content means they don't evaporate as fast.

Ooh. I gotta tell you (and sorry for the curve ball) but it’s RF where I’ve seen the most there! Booster pro seems to help with absorption, the ziip with skin looking energized (ATP?) and RF with smile lines/jaw! Might be a blessing in disguise that you can’t use retinoids either, as that’s my one catch with RF. @AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
Tbh I have not tried the omnilux! But I do think it sounds made in accordance with the literature, which is what you want to look for in LED I love medicube dearly, but for different reasons. The booster pro is what I use to increase product absorption 😊 Hope that helps!

@@AliceintheRabbitHole Thanks so much, Alice. Always appreciate your insight! Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm surprised you don't recommend the blue mask for acne-prone skin. Do these even exist in the States? I'm thinking about getting both since my first one is already 3 years old and I'm struggling with hormonal breakouts once a month. If anyone has tried the blue one so far, I would be happy to hear about their experiences. Thank y'all

Red LED also has anti-inflammatory benefits, and blue kills bacteria. So both actually benefit acne prone skin!

Is there an alternative to the current body radiofrequency device you can recommend as they only ship to USA/Canada and I live in Switzerland.

I am considering buying the Currentbody LED mask, but looking at the website it doesn't look like it is on sale yet? I was thinking of waiting a few days until black friday to see if it gets cheaper, but I don't want to risk your code no longer working. Do you know how long your code is good for? :)
@AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
It’s the Black Friday sale! It’s a very kind move of currentbody to make influencer codes the sale codes (most companies just run sales that don’t link back to us haha) So at least thru BF 😊

Would you say the medicube booster pro is worth it?
@AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
I do love mine, but it’s very different from the devices in this video. I’d say it’s more for product absorption 😊
@mefreee2Ай бұрын
Alice do you think they will have an additional discount besides your 20%? I want to buy ziip I just don't know if I should wait couple more days or not.
@AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
Historically, I have not seen bigger discounts on these devices. Not sure how much that helps (I am the type who beats myself up if I miss a better sale lol!)

Alice, do you think you could find out about safety of Medicube Age R Pro - all modes for people with pacemaker & implanted defibrillators please? I am not getting any answers from them or my doctors. (Mine arrived yesterday and I’m having surgery on 2nd Dec.) TYSM!!!
@AliceintheRabbitHoleАй бұрын
I am so sorry, but I would not know the answer to this 😔 I’m surprised your doctors aren’t giving you good answers though. Is it that they need to know the specs to properly answer?
