Using a gentle water-based cleanser once or even twice are sometimes not enough to remove all the debris on my face. I have also tried using a cleanser with stronger surfactants to see if it will be enough as a single-cleanse routine, but no. I have also tried micellar water, but I feel like that's more suitable for makeup really, also I just don't gravitate towards micellar water, I don't prefer having to use a pad, I'm lazy lmao. I remember a video about SK-II with Pitera-would you recommend that as an essence before the Dr Idress serum if the user could afford it?
@seralynn72863 ай бұрын
@@anncude531 I assume you're asking Dr. Idriss of course, but for what it's worth, I do exactly that. I use the SK-II essence how she recommended in the video for longevity -- I transfer it into a spray bottle (I use an amber-colored glass spray bottle with a plastic top that I bought on amazon) and use it twice daily before her hyper serum. I was using the essence for a while before her serum, and to be honest, I'm not really sure if it has helped at all. I know some of its benefit might just be in "anti-aging" (like how they found the active ingredient by noticing factory workers in a facility that used the active ingredient had smoother hands than faces), but I haven't noticed anything else from that alone. After adding her hyper serum, I have seen a small additional benefit. I think that my skin appears more hydrated and my freckles look a bit lighter. I haven't noticed much reduction in my mild rosacea yet, but it's only been a month and a half so it's possible it might improve more over time :). Either way though, there are a lot of essences with galactomyces out there and while SK-II has the patent on this particular strain, there is not any evidence (that I could find) stating that it has proven benefits over another strain. That's not to say it doesn't, but after I finish my current bottle (which has lasted 6 months so far and I would guess by the amount remaining it'll last an additional 4-ish months), I'm not going to purchase another one for a while just to see if I notice any changes in my skin.

Yes to almost everything but I will never give up my oil cleansers. I've used them for ten years as part of double cleansing and I've never had a single issue for my sensitive, combo, slightly acne prone skin. They melt away makeup and sunscreen and even when I'm not wearing anything I can feel a difference if I just use a regular cleanser. Double cleansing makes my pores visibly cleaner and my skin softer; it ALWAYS looks and feels better than a regular cleanser alone. I think the issue might be people using ONLY an oil cleanser and not following it up with a regular one. But of course everyone's skin is different. I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone starts doubting oil cleansers now.

The more you use different type of products the more you're gonna cause your skin stress, reaction, irritation and even allergies from treating your skin like a roller-coaster. I mean, the skin is not made to absorb or even deal with so many products and different type of "active" ingredients. Keep it simple is way more effective.

I discovered that when I was trying those Korean substitution companies that send a box of different skincare items every month. Even though the ingredients themselves were gentle, just the constant switching around products was enough to make my skin freak out.

...as my grandma said: the more shit you put on your face, the more poo I see😅. use a mild cleanser to keep your face fresh + moisturiser + sunscreen ( hat, umbrella, stay away from the sun ) - before, life was harder but with simple - and useful tools- we lived longer and we are stronger and more resilient than this pampered " App mania" generation😅😅😅😅

I am over 60 and I am having problems with nasty superficial bruising, mostly on my lower arms. No one talks about this. I have found out that it is likely due to diminished collagen due to age and sun damage. Do you have any suggestions for how to help prevent and heal this problem?

Please do an intimate area like wash/shave routine. I feel it is so difficult since it is in the body area but it is sensitive and is very easy to get hyperpigmentation there.

Wash your vulva with soap and water, or sensitive body wash. Do not wash your vagina, ever. She is self cleaning and any kind of wash, douche, feminine wash will upset her ph level. As for shaving - you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Don’t let anyone tell you that you should do, it’s a ridiculous beauty standard which tells women and girls that they should do it to the extreme. Normal washing there too is sufficient. If you want to shave, for yourself, go right ahead. Just make sure you use a sharp razor and sensitive wash.

The pore vacuum gave me bruising around my mouth and broke me out even after sanitizing with alcohol before use

My skin is so sensitive, it literally hates all the products i put on my face. The next day i am full of those tiny pus pimples. Just like's moisturisers and that's it. And not all of them. Likes micellar too. So no skincare routine just water and then no pimples at all.

But with the oil cleanser 1st and then a targeting cleanser second wouldn't they actually be getting a deeper cleanse as oil attracts to oil? So makep dirt sweat etc would come off easier and would allow the second targeting cleanser to do what it needs to do better? I can't wrap my mind around why oil cleansers wouldn't work?

I just use cold cream ponds instead of oil cleanser to remove gunk and sunscreen

Is cold cream ponds basically like an oil cleanser? I’ve looked at the ingredients and it contains mineral oil

Please don’t feel the need to make your videos “more concise”. I want to know everything you have to say. You haven’t given me a bum steer yet.

So nice to see that all of us oily-skinned people need our oil cleansers pried away from our hands. You can totally, absolutely use an oil cleanser if you're oily. The key is finding the right one and making sure it emulsifies well and that your water-based cleanser cuts through that oil really well. I've been double cleansing for almost ten years now and it's helped with acne so much because there's no leftover makeup.

Keen to know what is your view on Cica Reedle which is very popular nowadays in Asia

I am always happy when you point out the issues with Hyaluronic Acid. After using a serum with it my face got so red it hurt. It took one of your videos for me to figure out what was the issue. It took a year of Vanicream only on my face and then the addition of a barrier serum to get rid of the red. Thanks for mentioning it again.

I don't have oily skin so I love oil cleaners. I have found they work the best to remove makeup. I actually don't like micellar water because it doesn't work that well. Definitely personal preference.

Truth be told, I bought Dr. Idriss’ whole line (except for her new soft wash cleanser, I have to save some $$ first lol) and that is all I use and so far, I’m very pleased with it. I do use Miscellar to remove makeup and a light cleanser for the nights I don’t use the chemical exfoliant!! Thank you Dr. Idriss! 🙏😊💜

The video I need. I was considering an oil cleanser for soooo long. I was hesitant because I am so acne prone. But my skin is amazing right now, maybe adding this trend is not worth it for me? Blessed with u dr Idriss

What is your opinion on hypochlorous acid being used daily for redness reduction? And, should it not be used with certain other products? I've heard not to use it prior to a Vitamin C serum.
@downsideup10033 ай бұрын
She has recommended hypochlorite acid in the past, but iirc it was for acne because it kills the bacteria
