When they first came out, I told my friends, "Imagine if Faith No More, Slipknot, and Bob Marley had a mutant 'love' child...then amp it up." I heard them do this on a radio station acoustically and it's a WHOLLY different song, and his vocals are just....sublime.

One of the best things about this band is that pretty much everyone in the rock/metal audience loves them and will go to their show at a festival if they can. I usually do to Download every year and whenever Skindred are playing (which is often!) I usually get to see them. The audience is always big for them, people 1/4 my age enjoying them as much as I did 20+ years ago.

That was a great show. I usually go to a gig on average once a month. By that weekend (August 2021), I hadn't seem any live music since January 2020. It was so good to be back listening to music, let alone back at my favourite UK festival, let alone watching great musicians like Skindred, but also Kreator, Saxon and Judas Priest that same weekend. It was such a great feeling.

Oh man ... That song takes me back .... In that time I was and still am ,huge fan of Static - X , Rob Zombie and Arch Enemy . This song is still kick ass , as it was 10 years ago !!!! 🤘😎🤘.

Skindred is such an incredibly underrated band. Check out the official video for "Rat Race" next. Others have reacted to it and I don't believe it gets blocked or anything.

Interesting. There's a definite Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down vibe, but different, with real reggae chops. Unique sound!

The song was written and released about 15 years ago and they've only got better since then, there's only a handful of bands right now that can match them nevermind better them live.
