I have mine for over a week now, it's a blast to work with! yeah it's not perfect but the speaker is totally underrated and the workflow is truly awesome! I do jungle most of the time and even with the newer mpc u can still do some cool tricks like using the step sequencer as an automation tool for pad tuning a snare for that classic jungle snare roll! It's my first mpc ever and I was really afraid having trouble with understanding the OS, main screen and stuff but it clicked really really fast. true, looking at the manual and a few yt video wasn't a bad idea but still, I had way way more trouble understanding the user interface of any old vintage digital synthesizer, still have^^

Yayyyyy MPCX user here🎉🎉🎉🎉. Since early 2018. It's my drum machine, sampler and sequencer. I also use the 2.0 in controller mode as I like the audio drag and drop to DAW. It's a great audio interface too.

Man Look, I swear the Mpc x is what I saw in my dreams after my mpc 5000 and when the Renaissance first came out, this was when iPads and Android Tablets were fresh on the scene, I never thought they would actually make it but ,boom they pulled it off ..now I’m just waiting to see that car I drew in kindergarten pull up 😂😂

They should have named the MPC X The Beast because that's exactly what is.

It does it all and my video will help anyone learning it today.

Love my X. It’s definitely not perfect. But a fun beast and any successor needs to be more than that which will be a tough job for Akai. Let’s hope they will accomplish the job

Is MPC Live or X a standalone machine to play techno live? So few videos of Akai users playing techno: any recommendation? I currently have Octatrack and consider a Live or X.
@billiondollarbeats2 жыл бұрын
I own the X and yes you can play live techno with it, easy

I'm not too familiar with techno but the akai force maybe more suited to it. Definitely worth taking a look

Look for the fjaak vids, their mpc x one: youtu.be/xLb77qhAB and then surprise surprise, the maschine plus one lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/bV6reH-oj91nY5I tbh I have an mpc one and m+, and prefer my m+. Why? Nothing to do with the gear, but muscle memory. I started with maschine 1.0 so what +10 years of using it I don't remember anymore, and only 1 year of mpc one experience. So end conclusion if you either take the live 2 mpc or maschine plus, it doesn´t really matter anymore. The biggest cost, is the time you put in learning it. Yes one can do this better and the other one can do that, but compared to the old series of mpc like the 1000 or 2500 they both are heaps better. In the end it´s the artist, not the gear.

I’m still rocking with the OG Live and I’m still happy with everything I will never upgrade. It does what I need it to do and more. I can take it anywhere, I even made a beat at J Dilla’s grave on his birthday.

Not the best. Any MPC that doesnt contain SMPTE reader/generator is just a music workstation. Not a midi production center. Because it cant sync with non-midi gear. Which is terrible. One would think that anything new can do wtf the old s7&^^ did. I see why they changed MPC to music production center
@franklinpurnell83732 жыл бұрын
What would you be using SMPTE for these days?
@chosenonebeats2 жыл бұрын
SMPTE is waaaay outdated, why would they put that old tech in when a very small fraction of buyers would even consider using it? You want to use old tech fine, then do it on old gear.
@streetlife202 жыл бұрын
Don’t need it

@SampleKingsVideos2 жыл бұрын
I wish they had it as a pro engineer I need it when working with clients that do film scoring, TV commercials, etc. I think in, the future, they are going to write the code for smpte then use an output.
