I love the way Michelle looks at Cassie in the first scene. You really see how she genuinely cares for her friend and I feel like we didn't get enough of that in the actual series.

and as adolescent they've gone to different universities (or whatever), they'd have to virtually split up the show as their lives would develop independly (few separate plots one standing next to another), or come up with some ridiculus idea of reuniting them, wich would be totally hard to belive. either way it wouldn't make sense

yeah but they are looking for city kids so i think it will be cool. they are holding open auditions just like they did in the uk but the auditions are only for Canadians (Toronto) and Americans(New York).

i think producers didnt know how sucessful it was goin to b. i dunno how european schools are but in north america highschool is 4 years so they could have started followin them in the beginning of highschool but i doubt they thought the show would last that long so instead of planning a 4 yr storyline they did a 2yr one. In degrassi they knew it had a brand name so they started followin them since like gr.7 until they graduated highschool and that show is number 1 teen on in north america

its kind of funny a friend in my school is a great actor and he audiitioned for the skins in america but he didnt get in. i totally thought he would get it. especially since hes so crazy in real life. he's almost exactly like tony. does what he wants, gets what he wants.

i hate how some people just bash mtv's version just because they think it makes them cooler to know the original . the first episode hasn't even came out yet - save your judgement , and if you don't like it , you don't have to watch it.

they made characters similar, because theese are like templates of kids nowadays - times change = kids change..but for now on, people are still similar, but there are changes and within generations more of them step by step and in 10 years the show will be stil fresh, and won't be so repeditive (how much bad and fresh things can be done to the same people? every soap opera is suffering badly about that ;) )...at liest that's the idea I belive.

haha yeah! worst thing is it's going to be on MTV! They said they will stay true to the UK version but I don't see how MTV will allow half the stuff E4 did to air on tv. If they had to make a US version it should have atleast been picked up by HBO, atleast they allow swearing... lol

oh I just love skins, i've already seen the hole first season well i neither know how is divided the education in england, but here in argentina we have two ways of doing it, in buenos aires (capital city) we have 7 ears of primary/elemntal school, then (on mostly of schools) there are 5 years more, well then univesitie and that sort of things. And the rest of the country, there are 9 years of primary school, and 3 of highschool sorry for my awful english but this is waht i learned

i kind of agree but with the new cast they r just making them the same characters as before so i dunno theres no point really.. i think they should have just kept the original characters for a while longer. i dont think e4 knew that it was going to be as successful so thats why they initially planned for 2 seasons but if they knew im sure they wud have made it longer

MTV will really screw this up. I'm American and I am totally opposed to the US version which is supposed to set in Baltimore, Maryland. Nothing against the city, but this whole US version should not be happening at all.

I don't know as well how does it look in UK (as in each EU counrty it looks different) but in Poland there's: 6-years elementary, 3-years pre-high school and 3-years high school or 4-years technical school and after them universities, academies, etc. so I think boht the possibility of what you think and that they have some 2-years school are possible. gotta chceck out some info about that. and still, think about that if they started plot earlier, this would be about 15yr olds, so come on...

well, for me season 2 wasn't the same already, and for me there had to be new characters to get the first season's feeling back. and at the end of season 2 the school ended, so going into their adult life would be a disaster, it's better the way it is imo...
