College football is wayyyyy different in terms of recruiting 4-5 star recruits out of high school who may are may not be good as they are when they hit that field at the next level. Thank you so many little stats you can point to, to describe Alabama' dominance it's really not close. They're 126-14 in the last 10 years. They've given up fewer points and touchdowns than anyone in 10 years. In every season they were ranked #1 at some point. They've never finished a season outside the top 10 an only had 1 season (2010) were they finished outside the top 5, they've made 3 straight title games and were 1 second away from 3 peating. Except for 2010 every year they were in the championship game or 1 possession from going to the championship game. The combined record of the teams they've beat in the title is 65-1. Anyway you slice it they're far and away the best program in College without a doubt.

I think this year in college football we’re gonna see a lot of parity and a more diversity amongst the top teams. With the exception of the PAC-12, every conference of has at least 3 teams that can win their conferences and make it into the Playoffs, including the SEC. I don’t think Alabama can be guaranteed to win the conference, because I think Georgia is going to be very good this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think Auburn goes as Stidham goes and he can take a big step in his progression this year. And LSU and Ed Orgeron had their backs against the wall and they might take a step forward. Even Mizzou can be really good this year especially if Locke can be as good as he was last year. With regards to the Big 10, that conference is wide open because they have 5 teams that can legitimately win that conference. That’s insane, so that conference is a toss up. The ACC I expect Miami and Clemson to be the powers again, but it think Florida State will be a lot better and if Francois is healthy, they have a great chance to play for the ACC title. Now the Big 12 is going to be interesting to watch because, like the Big 10, I can see potentially 5-6 teams win that conference. I think Oklahoma’s defense is going to get them in trouble especially early in the season, and I wonder what the offense is going to look like because they lost a key piece at the TE position in Andrews and he was a very good security blanket. Texas if they get consistent QB could, if the starts align, be a 10 win team. They have the talent in both sides of the ball they just need consistent QB play. Ok St can be good but they lost a lot of fire power in the QB and WR department so that’ll be interesting how Gundy approaches that. TCU is going to be TCU and just make due with what they have, they need to replace the QB and I think they’re gonna rely heavy on the run this year. Now the wild card is K-State, much like Texas, they have to sort out who is going to be the QB. They have a favorable schedule I think where Snyder can sneak an upset or two and be in prime position to play for the conference title. West Virginia is the one where I know some people will pick, but I don’t trust. People say Will Grier is a potential NFL QB, I’m hesitant to say the because the Big-12 is a system league where they spread you out and throw it out. West Virginia also has a pretty difficult schedule this year too, they have to go to Texas, Iowa State, Ok St, and one of their non-conference games is at NC St. So after all that I think this year in college football is going to be very interesting and we will see a lot more parity and diversity especially when it comes to the Playoff.

While I agree it does mean they are guaranteed to be great. Put it this way they made the playoffs and the NC game all 3 seasons and won 2 NC's and lost one with a second left. Now granted if not for Iowa beating OSU so bad Alabama would not have got in even if they only had one loss and OSU two. The Iowa game and the fact Alabama was getting 4 linebackers back by the first playoff game was what got Alabama in and with those linebackers they were a different defense two have a chance to be first round picks and 2 more will when their time comes. If not for a blown kick maybe Tua is not famous and not leading for the Heisman from a play that happened last year. Frankly the Heisman normally goes to the most hyped player normally on a top five team. Last year was an exception. Tua has not even played 15 minutes in all 5 3rd quarters put together and none in the 4th. Does the Heisman mean he is the best not always but it usually means he is the best of the ones ESPN or CBS show every week. I will wait to closer to the end of the year before I decide who I think is the best player. Right now I think Tua will be the first player picked in 2020 barring and injury. I have seen a lot of QB's only Namath and Marino had as quick of a release. I do not know if either could read the field better than he can now when they were in the NFL but the game has changed a lot since then. Namath was the OC he called all the plays. At Alabama and for the Jets. I cannot say if he is more accurate than Steve Young or the guy he replaced Joe someone who was really great. lol Maybe he lived in Montana. Is he a once in a decade player I would say yes except for one problem his little Brother is as good as he was as a Senior and playing against a much higher level of competition. The only difference I see so far Baby Tua is right handed. If Terrell Lewis had not got hurt or Minkah had not left early he wold have more competition from the team but the guy who took Minkah's place will be a 4 or 5th year senior who waited his turn played a god bit but has taken advantage of the coaching and the program and will be a early first round pick maybe even earlier than Fitzpatrick. It is not like Alabama does not have almost every safety who is ready for the draft and does not have a injury in the first round. Eddie Jackson fell to round five because of a broken leg but has not missed but a handful of plays if that since signing with Chicago and he was a great punt returner another player who went down who was key to our unbeaten team until Clemson before he goes down with a injury against LSU. Then Shaun Dion Hamilton was lost both years for the playoffs and he would have really helped as well. Injury luck is a big part of the game. No one is going to win a NC without at least some fair injury luck. Last year Alabama was able to get most of them back for the playoffs but lost one they got back in the Clemson game also a linebacker. I think we had 9 different players who started at linebacker miss time with an injury at one time or another not all 9 at he same time but it was 4 at the same time.

No only 5 of the last 9. One more they should have but did not make the playoff because of a fluke play and one that lost on the last second. Only the 2010 team lost more than 1 game. Take that back 2008 team lost to Florida in SEC CG Florida became NC and Alabama lost to Utah in a game they did not care to be in and lost their left tackle before the game as he was suspended to play it safe as one of his Uncles had apparently talked to an agent if he had any knowledge he claimed not to but they made the right decision why risk it, they won the NC the next year. This team looks like none of the 5 that won it although the defense may be close to as good by the end of the year. They rank 3 in Sacks and 2 in interceptions and just now starting to learn to play together. Most of the points allowed are garbage points against 2nd and 3rd team players but that is how a team who lost 4 players off the defense to the NFL in the first round reloads.

I think 4 or at the most 5 in 10 years. Once to Clemson and Deshaun Watson. Once to Auburn but Alabama scored they had 44 or something like that and Alabama won. Did Clemson score 40 in the one they lost. I cannot think of any more. since 2008. Manziel did not do it. Ole Miss I think did once if twice then I think one of the two they got over 40 may have been a loss if they got 40 twice. Also Alabama had 5 turnovers and one give away TD but it counts.
