Skip Lowe is a low brow, jealous, back stabbing, amateur Nelly gossip in his interview style whereas Scotty Bowers is a gem of a guy.

What a read! I bought it at the famous Book soup in Hollywood before Scotty became famous with his tour and DVD release. I met Scotty 1 year before his passing. We had lunch at the Chateau Marmont and what a great terrific guy! He answered every question about Hollywood i had. His handlers did mention Scotty loved talking about his life and he was obviously a lover of life.....FYI: When Scotty kept mentioning Matt Tyrnaur, it must of been an inside joke since Matt was the director of the DVD of Scotty's life. I believe Scotty was just having fun!...It was one of my great moments knowing Mr. Bowers!....RIP Scotty.

You are right about Scotty mentioning Matt Tyrnaur. When we were filming the Skip's interview with Scotty, Matt was filming his documentary of Scotty on Skips show... so Matt was in the same room.

@@romeocareycontent1988 I’ve watched tons of videos over the years of Skip interviewing stars he knew and some he didn’t know personally but each and every interview is a gem. I have a deep respect for Skip, I enjoy his style of interviewing and to be frank I wish I could’ve met him, I think he would’ve liked me, just a strange feeling. I do know a few ppl in the business who like me, for many reasons. At any rate, to the uploader, I appreciate all that you do, more than you might imagine. Thank you.

I can see where Martin Short uses Skip's persona, in part, to create Jiminy Cricket. Lowe is too self-absorbed to allow the conversation to flow; he constantly interrupts his guest, Scotty Bowers, to control the interview. The old queen does this with all of his guests.

Lucky you. I would have loved to meet Scotty. Fascinating guy & his wife seemed so sweet. One thing I did not like, when he dumped his friend's cremains, the friend who had left him by 2 properties, how his cremains were unceremoniously dumped by Scotty through a rotten floorboard of his back deck. He should have done better by his friend who obviously loved him very much and was so generous to him.

I knew Scotty near the end of his life. I also knew the priest who was a dear friend and a client (and also wrote the first book on Christianity & the Homosexual) as well as other friends. Everything he said was quite true. My interest was in a pioneer Queer artist who was also a friend of Scotty & who Scotty hooked up with his models and tricks. I intend to write the first full biography of the artist and Scotty will feature in his story.

Scotty should have explained that guy he keeps bringing up. As he died last year, I suppose that book will never be published. You need oxygen to talk with Skip. He flits all over the place like an annoying buzzing bee. You can't answer a question before he's off to something else. Interviewing is not his natural forte. But, how about these old geezers and their hair, and no glasses? That's a pretty goog accomplishment. Too bad the skin just keeps on growing, especially under the jawline.
