The Los Angeles Lakers opened the second half of the season with a 105-100 victory at home against the Indiana Pacers despite trailing for most of the game. Kyle Kuzma finished with a team-high 24 points and 15 rebounds, including shooting 5 for 8 with two clutch three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether Kuzma's clutch performance is a trend or blip.

Shannon gave a good example when there was 3 seconds on the clock and he passed it back instead of understanding the time and situation and to shoot. @@theposterking3553 so if it’s that easy why hasn’t it happened yet ? My point is , kuz is 25 about to be 26 years old . There is little improvement he can make to his game. ....N the reason I said tht is bc you said “ he should go to the person Ingram n victor went to” As if Micah made their handles, so I said their handles been had potential. Ingram jus needed experience. Kuz hasn’t made any major improvements from what he was in his rookie year. He is damn near set in his ways.

Shannon is too critical of Kuzma. He's been BALLING this season. Yes, the shot may come and go, but he has completely redefined how he approaches the game. His hustle and energy is off the charts now, and he has become a plus defender and rebounding monster. Lakers fans (REAL Lakers fans, not casuals) have by and large been very happy with him.

Kuzma has hit a decent amount of clutch shots before and a couple game winners. He's missed a few as well but I don't remember any player in nba history knocking down 100% of everything. Michael Jordan missed 26 game winning shots according to his own quote. And he's made 9. He missed more game winners than he made by almost 3 times. Over the course of a great players career you remember the impossible feats over their faults and shortcomings. By nature players are inconsistent, hence why we use averages. Half the time they're going to score below it. As it is right now I'm comfortable saying Kuzma is roughly as clutch as all the other "clutch" players in the league right now. He's shown he is capable of doing similar things repeatedly, though who knows, he can easily go up or down from here anytime there's a close game like any player can

Kuzma is a really good player. He can play either forward position, can drive the ball to the rim and hit threes, and has improved his defense to the point where the Lakers actually rely on his defense. 1. Kuzma isn't the closer. He's a real my good 6 man tho. 2. Bird was the small forward at the start of the gamer when next to McHale and Parrish. BUT he'd guard the 4 ohm defense because he was their most mobile front court guy.
