What a great band! Every musician in the band is exceptional, but being a drummer, I am of course attracted to the drums. And this drummer is great! When someone is so solid and confident, you can't help but notice (as the camera operator does). He guides and steers the entire band, and check out his perfect posture at the kit!

There's lots of times you see the drummer grinning like he's enjoying himself!

I think people get so taken in by the music, they forget about all things commercial-related. How nice.

I’ve listen to bands in concert like the Tannahill Weavers, Solas, Battlefield Band, Dervish, Lunasa to name a few. This group has a sound all their own. Fantastic!

How do they keep up this energy, after 4 days of it? They must have been keeping a really low profile at the sessions.

How did you come up with the name Skippinish? Love your songs.

Lay off the drummer! A lively band needs a good drum beat. People even used to criticise the great Mr. Richard Starkey (Ringo). - Chriso.
@robmacdonald70046 жыл бұрын
My only comments on the music are all about the mix. Too much drum kit. It was hard to hear the vocals at times. Too often! The fiddle was fine. Same level as the vocals, right where it should be. And hard to hear, almost as often. More accordian! Overall, rock and reel at its finest!
@andrewccochrane80522 жыл бұрын
rob every band has their own style you dampen down the drumming here then you dampen down the style perhaps their style doesnt suit you thats a pity mate
@andrewccochrane80522 жыл бұрын
shuuddup man you have not a clue about modern folk music its all rock based you need the high decibles from the kit to drive the bands rythm the vocals are pitched at a certain level so it does not overide the instruments phasing in on some songs or tunes if you need any help with your music directions ask me i do it for a living

Great set! Ditch the drumming, crude, dull, overbearing, unnecessary.
@kmcb5 жыл бұрын
Clearly hasn't got a clue this person...^^^ drumming is part of it and makes the band what it is today.. great!!!
