Question, the answer may be in your video, But let ask, when your lure is down 6 inches plus or minus. Do you have a dot on that looping to release the lure? Say you start the swing at 6:00 pm and end in upper say 11 am , do release at 7 am. Or similar example of the best place to release the lure. Thanks hope that makes sense!

Sir, could you please do a comparison of skipping jigs with a curado DC vs a standard baitcaster. This type comparison has not been done and it has never been addressed on you tube. Due to two totally different braking systems, people are confused about the ability of a DC reel to skip as good as a traditional baitcaster brake system.
@InformativeFisherman10 ай бұрын
Sorry just now reading this, so I’ve played with the DC reels and in all honesty I feel like the hinder experienced peoples abilities. That being said, I love to have them when some in inexperienced in the boat. I myself had to shut all the breaking off on them when I pick them up 😆

My trouble seems to lie on where I should initiate the skip. Should I want the skip to start right at the dock or overhanging limb or rather closer to me, skipping all the way to the target. Also, are you aiming at the initial point of impact or are you aiming at the intended target at the end of the skip. You're a fantastic teacher and I sincerely appreciate you sharing so much!!!! 👍
@InformativeFisherman2 жыл бұрын
Typically it’s about half way to the target no matter how close I am. Rewatch from 28min in again it might help a bit more and thank you!
@missinlink67332 жыл бұрын
Aim at your target. Keep your eyes on the prize and see your skip through the target. You want your lure to hit midway between your target / point of entry and yourself. Just get out on the water and keep practicing. Watching Videos help, but time on the water teach you and help correct your mistakes. If you have a go pro record yourself and see what you are doing wrong.

How do you skip them from a float tube all of this depends on standing and being vertical. I’ve had to adopt a spinning reel from float tubes because it’s just very difficult to not backlash on a bait caster when you’re actually sitting down in the water

I don’t know if you will answer my questions, so far no response from you. When you skip do you look or aim at a spot on the water for the lure to hit or do you just aim for a spot under the dock or tree??
