The plaintiff and defendant dated on and off for the past five years but still live together. The plaintiff says the defendant owes him for five months of rent, so he’s suing. The defendant claims the plaintiff once threatened her with a hammer, and she called the police. The defendant insists she’s been actively trying to move out and find a safe place to live, so she denies owing a dime.

as soon as I found out my ex was cheating on me I arranged to move in the following 3 days, those days were hard but some of us actually have pride and will find a way to get out before the house becomes even more toxic. my ex offered me a whole month (I had paid my part of the rent 8 days before) but I was not going to spend another day In a place where I was not wanted. Mental health is very important.
