The reason the sunflowers shouldn’t be variated and face different directions is bc irl sunflowers always face the sun, and being realistic is (not really) important to the devs

As I understand it younger sunflowers will follow the sun over the course of the day, but when the flower matures it will stay just facing east. So the version that's in the game is totally realistic in the regard.

5:11 Each banner pattern is a different id, meaning that it would be easy to point to a different texture for each. 7:37 That would likely be very difficult for Mojang. It would need an overhaul of how the game handles food particles. Currently, it takes a random area of the texture and uses that as the particle. Replacing it so that it acts as if you were drinking it would be much easier.

They should make it so that if a pickaxe is on seriously low durability.. it's mining speed should decrease considerably.. irrespective of the efficiency enchant or haste effect.

I really hope Mojang listens to this video because it's straight up facts. New players shouldn't have to search for resource packs and waste time to fix this issues. They should be added in the official game textures so everyone wins. Nice QoL updates are needed.

aside from colourblind accessibility, which I do think should be a bigger priority for the game, most of the things in this video aren't really worth making a big deal out of. No new player is going to go out of their way to find resource packs to fix these issues, it's not a major obstacle (and especially if they're new to the game, it's a bit of a hassle to figure out how to get resource packs working). Stuff like the differently coloured enchanted books might be worth it when you're more experienced with the game, but issues like some items hovering in your hand, or the eating animation for soup having textures from the wooden bowl are just pedantic complaining.

when i first saw the “sword should have custom textures based on their enchantments” and what the title says, i agreed at first and then i thought about it more and realized it doesn’t make sense. if you have a fire aspect sword with a fire texture and a sharpness sword you’d have to merge the textures which would look weird
