@@nixsonhenderson I have not researched this, but I'm guessing the score is one of those features from pre-alpha or alpha versions of Minecraft that was supposed to do something important and just never got implemented. There are a few vestigial things in Minecraft that serve no purpose but have survived by inertia (and being too deeply woven into 20 year old code to be easily removed).
