That’s the idea of the video… however I can say that it’s partially expensive at a garage to do this job.. you can see how easy it is!

Call me old fashioned, but a lever operated handbrake never had such problems. I'm tired of manufacturers over complicating what were once reliable, mechanical components, such as park brakes, automatic gear selectors, keyless entry & ignitions, boot releases & climate controls. When a customer's keyless key fob dies, they often won't know how to gain access to, or start their vehicle. Because they never bother to read their owners manual, which is probably locked inside their car. Similarly, if the battery dies on a modern automatic vehicle, the car often won't come out of park. It is a nightmare to recover a broken down or stranded vehicle in this situation, as there is no longer a mechanical over ride under the centre console. Car manufacturers love to reinvent the wheel, but when these features go wrong it leads to frustration and often a large bill. Rant over.
