These kind of head-to-head tests are always interesting, keep it up! My impression is that tire-wheel combo made this tiny difference.

Interesting test :) Consumptions are not as good as I expected, and finally very close to the one from EV6 that you tested recently (despite 4RM and 20 inch wheels on EV6)

you have to look at 1 - weight of the car. 2 - drag of the car you could have high due to who has the heavy foot for small amount may be Chris is heavier or just the weight of the hat.

Thanks. Yes, travel assist, no hands on the steering wheel beeping.

Great video👍🏻 I have a Q4 40 with the same battery etc. I’m guessing the consumption would be slightly worse than those two as it’s an S-Line on 20” wheels. Would be interesting to see what difference wheel size makes 👍🏻🏴

Some interesting opinion measures are not something that is 100% precise, so the difference can be easily explained just by that. Also from a software engineering point of view, when we display 37.. it's not 37.. It might be 37,4 or even 37, 9% left (because for percentage of battery it's usually not a rounding but as soon as it's under the number we show the number below), while the other can be 38,1%. So the difference in remaing battery might just be 0.1 or 0,2% and not a full 1%. It could even be 1.8% but since both cars show the same remaing range, it's probably like 0,1 or 0,2% diff

I wish VWG would bring the Skoda Enyaq iV and the Cupra Born to the US market. Both offers a different take on the ID4 (and bring the id3 sized Born to the US/NA market)

The real difference is the touch insensitive buttons that VW use for everything and Skoda has limited. I find them frustrating wherever they are used and just don’t want the frustration I would have with the VW.
@Stiggy7673 жыл бұрын
After a year in an ID.3 I still find the touch controls annoying. I’d much prefer real buttons.

I love the haptic buttons. So much easier than real buttons. + you can swipe them. Also no dirt can come between it. You just have to get used to it. It’s the future try to keep up.

@@AlanTov Totally agree, no problem at all with the haptic buttons. People that have not used them have a problem with them.

yes they do. I just drove 36o miles - 7 hours. Starting at minus 5 c and the battery never got warner than 12 degrees and the fastest charge I got was 70 kW

Enyaq seems more aerodynamic (except for the rims!!) and therefore should have had better efficiency. I know, from experience, that the tires and their pressure have great influence in consumption. The wind can have lots of influence too. You should have swapped places in both directions (Enyaq could have had headwind while the id.4 was following). But we're talking peanuts here...
@rklauco2 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, in your range table, Enyaq seems to be far worse than the id4 pro...

Is there any truth to the rumours that the VW, Skoda and AUDI isn’t as good as they could have been. Limped by software downgrade tuning? Just to not take all sales from ICE cars. vRS, GTI and S and so on.

A small difference, probably just because of the different rim shapes and different tire manufacturer. For a tire it's a balance of consumption, wear, loudness and grip on wet and dry surfaces. So each tire model may have the balance more to this or more to that side... And also the rim shapes play a role. So as nearly expected, but i also did not dare to say that before the test, but the two sister cars have round about the same consumption. (The body shape could play a role, motor parameters could play a role, who knows, but they seem to be very similar in their consumption). So it's up to the preferences, to the price, to the preferred brand, to the availability ;-)
