Thanks for the feedback. I bought one of the last manual Combis in Australia (Run Out model) and I'm loving it. The three cylinder is a little 'thrummy' but handles very well. I hope to hang onto it for a few more years.

Economical to run and service until I got to the 105,000 km service that requires a timing belt change. That service cost A$2000 so something to keep in mind when considering overall running costs. Otherwise a good car.

Which is more worth it to buy as a used car? 1.2 TSi 90/110 hp, or the 1.4TDI 90 hp Im looking for a car to have it at least for 4 years. Im mostly using it in town.

i'm not happy with the warning lights that have come on for the engine management and airbag plus the stop/start function is not working. These things are to be put right under warranty but goodness me the dealership is taking a very long time to actually do the work here in the uk. I wonder if I will continue to have these or similar problems once the warranty expires.

Not a typical Skoda issue, that's 'dealer issue', most brands suffer from that.

I've had a Fabia 1.2 TSI 110 estate for 5 years and 45 k, only a turbo actuator replaced under warranty, 70 mpg if I drive like a fart, loads of space and all mod cons including Android connectivity
