Super review. Excellent picture and sound quality and love the details in review. Left nothing out. Can't get over boot size. I started driving in Toyota starlet 1.3xli... tin box. What is available now in 1ltr range, spec, safety and comfort is unreal. Wish I had that choice in my early 20's.

Bought a Fabia brand new a decade ago and it is still rolling, but this does look better in every single way. Let me tell you placing an order for a new car in your early 20s is loads of fun, I remember getting a question from the elderly salesman "alrite but you do got a job, son?". Clearly the main customer base was a bit older back then lol

Having just watched your video, yours goes into more depth than Bob's (don't tell him I said that! 😁) I have to say like I said to him it's an impressive wee car tho' it needs a diesel option which I know it won't get. I don't like those alloys I prefer the standard silver ones, I think there's a kodiaq with a bigger version of those black allots on and tho'I know it's for aerodynamics they just look awful, they look like wheel trims! Anyhow keep up the good work!

Had two MK I Fabias in the past, currently have a 2014 Octavia 2.0 Diesel. IF Skoda made a VRS/RS Version, then I'd be interested in at least test driving the new Fabia, but I don't think they will so I'll be looking at another brand from the VAG group, or a BMW 1 series for my next car. I need a car with some GO and would like a sporty look too!
@allenthomas50003 жыл бұрын
@Graham Shaw Have you considered the ford focus. It does have a decent look especially in the st line trim.
@Graham_Shaw3 жыл бұрын
@@allenthomas5000 Not a bad suggestion, but I'm not that keen on the new shark nose front end of the new Focus and Seat Leon, and I've never been a fan of Ford interiors. What with so many new VAG cars now having capacitive touch controls everywhere, I'm leaning more towards Audi these days, but of course Audi's are not cheap! I quite like the Cupra Formentor, but still... Capacitive touch, Uhh!! I'm hard to please LOL!!

It was nice to see you in my country. As for the new Fabia, it ticks lots of boxes for young families. Thankfully, room in the rear seems to have grown a bit. Are the Czechs going to discontinue the Scala?
@Mancozeb1003 жыл бұрын
The Scala does seem a bit lost in the lineup … though it looks good. The new Fabia Combi will be out next year, and that should certainly make the Scala redundant. The current Fabia Combi made the old Rapid a questionable choice. Interesting to see what happens.
@NobbyOnCars3 жыл бұрын
I saw quite a few Scala models in Poland actually but out of all the line up, it's not the best seller for sure. Is that because the Octavia is too good and close in price, not sure.
@Mancozeb1003 жыл бұрын
@@NobbyOnCars Yeah - it’s overlapping the Octavia at the upper end, and Fabia Combi at lower end. Dealer that about the Rapid a few years ago - that customers ( in Dublin anyway) were choosing Fabia Combi instead of Rapid Spaceback - not sure if Scala is suffering a bit from Rapid reputation of cheap/not that well built, even though Scala is a world away from Rapid in how it’s put together. New Fabia with MQB-A0 will just be so far ahead of Scala then.
@Mancozeb1003 жыл бұрын
Update - on Marek’s review ( Marek Drives) … he flashed up an on-screen message that Skoda had announced, the day after his review, that they would now *not* be doing the Combi next year. So, Combi is gone it seems, which will leave a stronger case for Scala, I’d guess. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZO1ko1tbN-Ce6M @4:24

Great review. Beautiful car. Competition on price for the Focus? Was never a fan of the old model Fabia. It looked too much like Skoda of old and lacking quality of its Octavia big brother so wonder if Skoda considered calling this new one a different name. If it makes these shores at sub 20k there'll be a stampede. At 150 ps on the 1.5 do you really need an RS version. Just a few thoughts.
