Just a humble feedback: Mileage test is never done this way. Reason being there is no guarantee of fuel pump still lifting the fuel at this low quantity. There is still a possibility of let’s say 50-100 ml of fuel left unused, because fuel injection system was unable to receive it at the manifold. You fill your tank full till AUTO-CUT, drive it for 100 kms (or let’s say 50kms), refuel your car again, till auto-cut. 100 / litres of fuel refilled = Mileage. The way you did it, once or twice more, you’ll end up spending 20k or more for screwing up something in your fuel injection system.

Instead of getting Wheel alignment done from the service center its better to get it done from outside and it will cost only Rs400-500 and not 1400. The main thing which is increasing the cost of maintenance is the cost of engine oil and cost of spark plug. Cost of engine oil can't be brought down since its a synthetic engine oil but cost of spark plug can be brought down by localisation of parts.If they are importing the oil from outside india then they should try to get the same quality manufactured in india so it will also bring the cost down a bit.

I owned skoda for 5 years and VW for 3 years. Service maintenance cost is absolutely normal, I also have sx4. The service cost is same on both cars, only thing is we may once in a year for skoda. Service cost story is absolutely myth as you said.

Service cost can be reduced if you don't get your wheel alignment done by them. Moreover you can talk to your service advisor and bring your own engine oil from vendor which can further reduce your service cost.

Please do mileage test with full tank and top-up later, if you empty the tank, later you will have fuel pump problems, also not good for the engine. Test distance should be atleast 100 km.

This is not the way one should test the mileage !! This causing serious damage to the fuel pump and injectors !! Always fill up the fuel till the brim and drive for 20-30kms later fill it back to the same level. Now divide the kms driven by fuel consumed. This way its more accurate and we are not harming any components of the car.

Guys please check the dealer. If he is really trustworthy only then put your foot forward. After doing so much research on which car we should finally buy, we opted for Skoda Rapid style automatic Petrol, and here are we today regretting for the same. Think twice before you buy. After sales service from Skoda is pathetic. From day one there is some or the other problem but no one to rescue. Dealer gave me fake price quotation, & cheated more than 75000/- Also not gave us the second key of my car. Collected 1% TCS i.e. 12000/- as per government norms & didn’t deposited in government till date. I am feeling completely cheated by Skoda and do not know what to do with my car. So, request all those who plan to buy Skoda to reconsider their decision and ensure they have adequate reasons to buy.

See when it comes to sedan you'll not get that much of ground clearance which you'll get on SUVs. It all depends upon your skills of driving in big speed breakers. But don't worry 116mm is enough. You'll not gonna face problem 😊
