What's worse is that they weren't flat stat boosts a lot of the time - they were proc/chance buff types. Meaning your output GREATLY depended on how much do the RNG gods smile upon you. They didn't really change the experience or anything, they just made you depend on RNG for numbers. Covenants at least give you new abilities to fiddle around with and implement into your playstyle. The Azerite system was old talents you had to grind and roll for to get the perfect setup of randomly acquired traits which did nothing to change up how you played your class. But this isn't really why BfA was shit. It was shit because pvp was at an all time low despite it being marketed as a PvP expansion, raids and dungeons sucked, grinds were boring and tied to world and daily quests. Story was boring too. Full of moronic twists that were obvious. Can't speak for the Alliance side... but the Horde side... ugh. Disgusting. Sylvanas' "morally grey" storyline is really putting a sour taste in my mouth. Not that it matters now. Actiblizzion seems to be on a direct course to drive away their fans by blaming them for Blizzard being lazy, incompetent and sexist. Key figures leaving in droves... again. I don't know if anyone from the oldschool, original team are even there any more. TBH I saw it coming the moment they announced years ago that Activison would start placing more of it's "core" employees (mostly managers and executives) over to Blizzard. And apparently, this is the result. Real shame.

Also his W active while camouflaged has a wide area around him that reveals him to the enemy but also informs Akshan there is an enemy nearby with a ! on his head. You can basically scout the fog of war without needing to face check. Thank god the enemies in the bush do not trigger the ! for Akshan or it would lowkey be the strongest roaming tool in the game.

I feel like it's only a matter of time before Akshan becomes the next Akali, Azir or some other impossible to balance champion. I don't really feel like he's overly strong when i play against him but the potential is definitely there...tbh the only thing that get's me is that he has Evelynn's Passive and Warwick's Passive together, that just irks me so damned much cause Evelynn can't have a basic ability dash because of her stealth but Akshan can be ranged and have probably one of the best escapes(when used properly) ever.

Akshan's main issue, imho, is the revive passive. It has so much potential to be broken af.....or useless. But the potential would make even most ultimates blush in potential use. An enemy can legit have their penta mean nothing. In any close game, his W passive potential is just outright OP. But knowing riot, they will nerf every single other ability first then remove it, making him feel horrible before trying experimental buffs years later to slap him back down again.

I gotta say, as someone who has never played league of legends and has very little idea about what the really complex skills actually mean, you do a great job of making this really entertaining! I'm definitely disappointed that the game is in a state where you want to recommend it to people, but wouldn't because it's so inaccessible to newcomers-- because otherwise your videos probably would've been what got me to play it.

My friend hit M7 on Akshan already. He went up against an Akshan last night, the guy controlling him was a Plat 2 FLEX player, his account seemed like he was hard smurding from an even higher elo than plat. This was a silver/bronze flex game, too. Probably friends with someone on their team. My friend got his shit pushed in so hard and told us he won't be playing Akshan ever again. "this is what I do to people?" he said, as he dies under tower.

Man, this champion is something else, I love him so much, I haven't had this much fun in league since, well, almost forever in the last 8 years. I also really do love the fact that riot is finally growing a spine and is willing to experiment with wilder, and wilder stuff. In Dota and others, there's sooooooo much more variation and batshit lengths characters can go doing something super out there, while riot always tried keeping a very short leash on everything they make for the longest time now to be conveniently easy to monitor, and tightly control the statistics. Simpler or complicated, I want new things, things that make the game more interesting and diverse, instead of regurgitating the same crap in 50 flavors over and over and over again.

Are we talking about same Dota here? Because to me Dota heroes feels super same-y, just "creeps with one or too interesting abilities", while LoL ones are actualy wild and unique. I could name only like 5 heroes in dota that have somewhat unique gameplay - Broodmother, Techies, Nature Prophet, Barathrum and Tinker, maybe add Riki/BH... But, again, even then its doesn't feel good most of the time. So IDK, to me LoL is better in case of wild design space.

And I can safely say that this man right here embodies the reason why I’m going to stop playing this game. At this point it’s turned from 150+ champions to like a dozen and then a bunch of inting options. The scaling has just gone up so much so fast it’s just no longer fun to play who you like unless you like the new champion then it’s gonna be fun for a patch or two. And do I even need to mention the other players? Because at this point your team is just a punchline in the form of a tumor

@@deeperestmeme479 If he can do a bunch, but cant do it well, then its not really an issue. Who really cares if they give him 1000 passives as long as the final result is not an invincible warmachine. If the result is a good character, not a broken one, then being overloaded should be fine.

The next new champion Vex will probably be fairly elaborate too. But yeah you do you if you arnt having fun you arnt having fun. Hopfully one day itll be a better game for you in the future :)

Yet somehow he doesn't feel broken. Truth be told, his existence is completely justified with his E alone. Riot Jag (the creator of Akshan) even said so. When he sat down to make a new champion he wanted to revisit Camille's hookshot, and then built from there. With that in mind, you can definitely see where Riot was going with this guy. "Oh shit, we made this cool dude who swings, but he needs something else..." and so they gave him everything and somehow it works? I play a lot of Akshan (he's officially my most played champion this season - ik yikes) and his kit definitely feels like it works together, but what keeps me playing him is the fantasy of swinging around, picking up kills and steamrolling through the game. You're absolutely right. I am the main character of League of Legends. That's just really fun. What keeps him in check is the big ass roster that's simply better than him. He's still an ADC - an ADC with no way to protect himself if the enemy team jumps ontop of him.

Im glad this video actually does Address the bugs with Aksan's e. As an akshan main Ive believed that either the revive needs to get removed or limited, the champ is only bad right now because of his base stats not his ability stats. He will get picked up for pro play if the revive is not changed and be balanced around it, which is never fun. If you want to hear my thoughts about things I think need changing about akshan to make him a balanced and fun champion to play as and against Im glad to talk about it

People complain about wordy champs but I wish this was the baseline for how all champs are designed (and it seems it is now). There's interesting niches and interactions hidden in their abilities and nuance in how you manage it all, give everyone convoluted passives it makes awesome gameplay and cool builds. Playing as Akshan you're rewarded for knowing all the micro to optimise your stats but playing against him you can just treat him like any other marksman. Same as Samira and Sett he's built out of pure, adrenaline-rush fun and just feels so goddamn good to play, and if Riot are able to add that to an 11 year old game with an engine made of cardboard and champs that go "ok." I'm honestly impressed.

I like Akshan's double hit or movement speed autos a lot, because kiting perfectly with them is a challenge and honestly really fun, his revives are fun and meme-y, hunting down scoundrels adds a fun little minigame, his ult is fun, his e is fun and his q is kinda boring but it's just a q so whatever

Akshan needs a Tahm Kench/ Diana level rework, where make his current W his new ult and make his current R his new W. Perhaps change the revive so that Akshan needs to deal the killing blow with his ult, an actual active, in order to trigger the revive. By moving the R to his W that will also create more fantasy moments of firing rapidly while swinging. From there streamline his passives so that he doesn't have like 50 of them, either he runs fast or his shoots fast but not both.

I think I’ll at least provide an idea of my own Akshan’s W: Rapidly fire 3/4/5/6/7 shots on your next attack (This buff can expire maybe 5 or 8 seconds after activating it?) Akshan’s R: If the target champion is killed, all dead allied champions that were slain by them are revived at their summoning platform after 1 second. And maybe a bonus effect for the E, if Akshan uses his W before swinging with his E, the shots will automatically be used (Maybe this could have some other changes on his E if this is done)
