The one i got looks brand new, matching number condition same as those wooden stock unfired, look pretty clean, happy to have it just for one of the collections

To add a little info I have observed on Chinese "Jungle Stocks) I help out in the warehouse of a large surplus firearm importer in the US. We were regularly receiving shipments of Chinese made sks's from Albania from mid 2019 to sometime 2022 we processed over 35,000 SKS's. in these I saw 3 of them come through with Jungle stocks to were in decent condition showing moderate wear but not abuse the 3rd was heavily work and beat up. The 2 better condition guns had the standard 1960's era receiver markings but the number digits in the ser# was 1 digit less than was normal. I'm not positive but I believe the stock were ser#'ed to the receiver, The abused on had the normal number of digits in the ser#. There were also a number that had replacement handguard on the gas tube from a "jungle stock. On a different topic nice type 63/68 bayonet on the SKS in your video. I have only ran across 2 of these sorting SKS leading me to believe these are pretty rare in the west. I did a lot of searching online and your is the only other one I have seen on a SKS.

I forgot to add I'm pretty sure the beat up gun with the normal ser# does not have a ser# on the stock.

@@gnutzguy You have 2 type 63 bayonets! Are these more common in Canada? When I found 2 I did a lot of research online to find a value but found nothing. I could not find a single photo of one in the US let alone the sale of one.

@@dougdye2276 not common at all. I originally was going for the stamped receiver then I noticed the weird bayo. I couldn't find any info. So when I went hunting for another but these are the only two that came up for sale. I never thought to look at t63 bcos I always thought they came with the same shape as sks Bayo. Till yesterday, I noticed a pic of a PLA soldier shooting a t63 with a non tapered Bayo like you said. How did you connect it to the t63? Btw, t63 are not allowed in Canada bcos it has select fire.

I have a Chinese jungle stock in my inventory dated 1966 if I recall correct. Haven't looked at it in a long time but I do know it has seen some service!

Greetings from saskatchewan! Do you know if the honor guard variant is perfectly functional just like the others? I have heard they werent meant to shoot, just for show. Looking for an unissued sks next and watching your recent vids. Good content.

Yup, the chinese don't chrome the receiver so ok to shoot. When buying a chinese honor, Look out for thick metal behind the top handguard and thick butt plate. Also "WD" stamped on bottom of mag.

I saw these. I know there are some factory 26 , 1969, unissued, matching numbers out there right now, for $500. Which i consider an extreme bargain So i am wondering if this new shipment is also unissued, also. I see they are from factory 606. I am not familiar with that. Do you think these will end up being extremely rare for $500

I will know definitely when I get mine but I don't think these will be rare bcos there are 500 in this shipment and if they are enuff demand they can always bring more in.

I picked one up back when the type 56 came available...cabelas 189$ The guy selling me one spotted it and referred me to it. I bought it.. It's beat hard, forced matched gun. But the stock has seen some service. My guess the stock was hold over in load that never crossed the ho chi min trail... And sold years later to other conflict. Maybe Burma..maybe Africa.

I have a 69 chinese 26 its definately had some repairs ive since been refinishing the stock to finish and colour i desire. Dont know if thats a good idea being a milsurp but ill never sell it just pass down and i have my 1978 french ticker that ill never change

@gnutzguy My last SKS was a Russian with hardwood stock. It was not numbers matching. I don't think the barrel was chrome lined.

I found a 1953r sks in the jungle stock and it’s got no import marks with a blade on it so is possible that it’s from Vietnam sold by the Russian Soviets to the Chinese then sold it Vietnam

Not likely sold to chinese bcos they were feuding, more like direct from Russia and then stock were change by the NVA.

China did suffer a famine during 60s as well as a wood shortage so its very possible it was for military use. Mainly all their weapons was for military use they didn't really sell weapons commercially big time until the 70s and 80s and really the 90s. If I had to bet money on it I'd bet they were used by military the only known cosmetic features added for commercial use was the old paratroop SKS models. That was made up for importers. When ur cranking out millions of rifles I believe they implemented this during that famine time when major shortages were happening I've only ever seen these stocks on early models like 1962 or so but maybe I just haven't seen enough idk also the ones I have seen with jungle stocks are like I said all early but I've seen them with out Chinese markings. They will have serial numbers and arsenol numbers but no Chinese characters. Which would make alot of sense about removing those Chinese letters for importation into ally countries to use them they could say hey those ain't our rifles that is killing ur troops
