Great video and thank you for making it, I have a couple of things about. 1 - There's a tool (disguised as mod) on the nexus that backup your "SkyrimSE.exe" file for you and do this on every Skyrim SE/SKSE update, you only have to start the game and it copies the file in a backup folder inside the game folder, tested and working. BTW in case of issues your way (download it from steam servers) should be used; 2 - To check the SKSE version you can just launch the game (via Mod Organizer 2), open the console with the tilde key, write "GetSKSEVersion" (without quotes) and you get in return the current SKSE version that is running, I learned this thanks to another great youtuber/modder as you are =D

For everybody that are having issues with draging the SKSE zip directly to MO2, just go for folder named "MODS" (MO2 creates this folder when you install it) , go to "Downloads" and drag the SKSE zip there, and will show up at MO2.

Drag and drop does not work on the newer versions. You now need to use the "install mod from an archive" button on the MO2, on the top right of the software and under View, Tools, Help, etc. Ignore the warnings, click the drop down and find the data folder. Right click, set as data directory, and then SKSE appears on the mod list on the left panel, just like any mod.

When running SKSE through MO2 you _may encounter_ a problem where MO2 (especially older versions) do not recognize the SKSE64_loader The easy fix for this is to rename the loader to skse_loader.exe basically drop the 64 out of the file name. I honestly wish there was a more user friendly way of updating SKSE64. Like, Bethesda needs to make updates that don't affect it or a modder needs to find a way to make an updater for it. This is incredibly tedious. Especially when more and more mods - especially really good mods - require SKSE64 to work. Or more modders need to move away from SKSE64 at this point.

One thing worth noting with this... If anyone runs into issues regarding ANY MOD INSTALLATION forcing your skyrim SE to crash to desktop, then follow these steps... it MAY help solve a complete headache for someone. Try this first, in case that your master files are just damaged. - Exit Steam. - Go to Steam folder and remove folder named appcache - Go to Documents > My Games > Skyrim. - Remove files Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini. - If you have included tweaks for mods, then save the files, in case you need to redo some tweaks. Leave all possible memory and Papyrus tweaks out of them. - Close your computer. Let it actually shut down, so it will reset all hooks. Then start it again. - Start Steam. It will now load a few seconds, while creating a new appcache folder for you. - Steam client Library view, right click the game. - Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache... - Run the default launcher once and let the game configure. This will create new Skyrim.ini for you. - Run the game once. This will create new SkyrimPrefs.ini for you. * 1 file will always fail to validate. It is related to how Steam detects your graphic card configurations and does not have any negative effect to your game. Source - steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/535150948593337369/
