adam sounds more compressed (for example track deep on krk more relax), voice have to much zz sss peaky sound, reverb mask from bass and highs, also mids generally mask, less tight bass, less resolution on mids... 10:0 for krk thx for test.

@@julzofficial3898 well a. lot of people said they changed from the Rockits to the adams because the bass was too over emphasized in the rockits... I just got the T5V pair and they sound great... I had the Yamaha HS5 pair just before these and thought that the adams sounded like hifi speakers because they were so good... I didnt think they were so flat.. nut after using headphones and hearing tracks through comsumer headphones and then the adams, the adame did sound flat... the HS5s were so weak in low frequencies but the mixes translated well... been wondering whether to go higher and get the A5X as the are no soo expansive now...never ending neurotic story...

Definitely Adam Audio T5V, I have spent two months to choose between these two. Both are actually good speakers. I will give equal rating for the bass. But here I have to tell you something About the Adam audio Ribbon Tweeters. These are the best tweeters in the market for these price range. Very very clear high ends. It won’t hurt your ears. It’s smooth, nice and clear. Separation is also too good. Adam speakers are really good for mastering. Talking about the features, I think the display and the eq options on Krk was useless. It might help krk on marketing basis. But actually speaking Adam audio’s features are nice simple and clear. Highs, minds, lows everything was clear on Adam. Krk losses on highs. So I recommend Adam audio T5V.

To be honest I love both speakers greatly and have gotten a chance to try them both in a studio and I just cant give up the generation 4 KRK's. While the Adam speakers are very good and warm sounding, the KRK's just sound more like the original test files, and didnt over pronaounciate like some sounds in the Adams did. The KRK's sounded a bit more flat to me over a nice pair of headphones. While I would definitly choose Adam for my bedroom or living room (outside of the studio), I would go KRK inside the studio becaues of the more flat sound profile. Also, the KRK's include room tuning software and an integrated 25 option dsp standard, which can make them sound just like Adam, and sometimes even better. I think the Adams are best for primarly rock, coffe house, accoustic and vocals, but if your producing heavy bass music or EDM/pop, go KRK.

@fpsoundpacks
@fpsoundpacks 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this comparison, it was really helpful! I had both of them standing here for testing purposes and I have to say that the Adam t5v sounding much more natural and less strenuous. The krk rp5 g4 had a bit too phoney highs. Therefor a little more audible bass (but not better). The Adam, on the other hand, don't sound pressed. After a longer session with the krk's, it felt like my ears are getting pressed more and more. Like listen to a over compressed bad mastered song! So I kept the Adam t5v for two reasons. The more natural sound and longer sessions without feeling that my ears are getting pressed. I really intended to keep the krk's as I had read so many positive things about it. I didn't even care about the laughing Minion design, if the sound was right. But the Adam absolutely convinced me. Honestly I am happy about it, because now I can look at such fancy monitors that inspire me while making music than to stare at two yellow laughing one-eyed minions.

I am listening to this video through a pair of Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro's and I can't agree with you more. The Adam Audio sound is more fluid and less strained. The KRK's sound like they're struggling and just blasting out to compensate. In all honesty, the KRK's on this video remind me of the old Optimus (Radio Shack) Mach 3 speakers. I would not recommend these as engineering monitors.

I made the KRK choice due to the better bass and middle range. The Adams are also good but in the end it was the new KRK Audio Tool App that gave me the final decision. This App is fantastic for giving the best settings for your room without having to invest too much in acoustic treatment.

Sweetwater said Rokit 5’s were on back order for two months, and suggested the Adam T5v as an alternative. After hearing this, i do hear more mid clarity in the Adams, and the rokits seem slightlyyyyy muddier in the low mid to low range than the adams. I feel like I made the right choice, and cant wait for them to come.❤️

I have the Rokit 5 G4s & the Adam a5x. Here are my opinions for anyone looking to buy either of these (I know these are the T5V but are comparable) First, both of these speakers sound fantastic and depending on where you place them, you'll be happy with the sound they produce. That being said the Adams sound fuller and more complete. Ive seen a lot of comments of the Rokits 5 G4s having more/better bass but that is definitely not the case with me. Moreover, you can always tweak the equalizer for more bass. In addition, the KRK app is simply a free tool that can be used to room treat any speakers. Build quality is great on both. Hiss is close to nonexistent on both but this would depend on your setup. Low end goes again to Adam. Bass sounds cleaner and more dynamic. Overall, both of these will produce amazing sound. But side by side, test after test, if I had to pick one, I'd go with Adams. P.S. I use these for video editing and home DJ'ing. Simply amazing.

I went for my local music store for the KRKs. But Had the chance to compare it with the Adams. The sound difference was huge. After A/B testing in various songs and styles I decided very easily to go with the Adams. Everything just sounded way out there, instruments in the mix were much more definitive, bass was fuller and more rich and the music in total more "alive".

This has made things very difficult for me, as about to buy some studio monitors. Imo, the Adams SOUND the best having fab details in the highs and generally not sounding murky this end. However, I feel that the krk's are in general the closest to the reference. How much all of this would change listening to this review via different sources/speakers is just a further nightmare lol. So sadly I'm going to get the rokkits for my home studio as seems would be best for mastering, but would pick the Adam for listening /enjoying music. You can never have it all! Also prefer the idea of having bass port on front of rokkits from how most will setup monitors at home anyway.

I just bought a pair of Adam T5V's and a T10S sub-partly based on this video. However, it was a close call between the KRK's and the Adam's. I liked "some" of the clarity with the KRK's, but I didn't like the harshness. Conversely, I preferred the warmth of the Adam's; but I am a bit concerned about them being too darkly colored in tone at times. Frankly, I preferred the "Original" tracks on almost all the samples to either monitor. How was that recorded and through what?

Very close for all the elctronic stuff as you can see there nearly no big difference in the low end. What I don't like on the KRKs is, that they are losing between 2k and 3k, which you can hear especially on the snare sounds. When it comes to high mid and higher frequencies, the T5V definitely sounds more flat. I can hear that on the tracks with more voice in it. On the other hand it is a bit of a disadvantage in the track "Heart Afire", cause the voice is produced really on the edge in the high end frequencies, so that the T5V struggles a bit in my opinion. But both are good speakers in their price range.

Every graph of every monitor tested in this room is more similar than different. We are hearing more of the room's imperfections and poor acoustic treatment than the difference between speakers. The graphs are saying there's a 15 db difference between response at 85 Hz vs 120 Hz? Not even $200 monitors are that bad. Also, KRKs still have no definition in the mids.

155 / 5 000 Resultados da tradução Resultado de tradução In the beginning I only bought the krk 5 and @ low sound power the bass was poor (more than 8 hours a day I can't always listen to it on load), than i bought the krk S8.4, released the basses on the rokit 5, and adjust the crossover of S8.4 to max, and voilá !! what a blast !!

hard to make heads or tails. The lack of bottom end colours the midrange. I would prefer a test with a sub. Yea i know its one for one, but lets be honest here, the bottom end is lacking and pushing those small woofers will colour the mid range with modulation issues. Top end is ADAM territory. I have rokit5s now and i am seriously questioning what i am hearing in the mid range and bottom end. I will be getting a sub before i decide to turf or not. I think its not doing either of these speakers a service without a sub. As this test stands, i wouldnt buy either.

KRKs sound a bit damp in the mids, but with more bass. They lose against the adams in the highs.

Hi! In a few days I will have the opportunity to buy Adam t5v / t7v or Presonus Eris E4.5 / E5. Which ones would you choose? Should I get KRK Rokit 5 G4 RP5G4 or LP6 / LP8 instead? I will use them purely for listening and enjoying music. Or should I skip monitors and go for something else? All opinions are welcome. Thank you in advance!

Both are too bright compared to the original track..krk has more mids than adams. Adams sound too hi fi V shaped eq...not a very good thing for a studio monitor. Thanks for this great video.

I feel that the mic he is using or the system and the situation that he uses for all his records cause a bit high boosts than the actual reality because mic cannot be same as our actual ears :)

@@insthatbass its normal that mic. rec. have to much highs, but what why hear is the different and the difference is, the Adam´s Tweeter is 5db to loud. Sound down to 1k is not good. the tweeter is to loud + to shelf up + to much bass.. the good krk sound come from a loot of filter.

These monitors will never have enough bass translate through, so they will always appear brighter when compared to the source track for one.

KRK is a little more balanced and fuller. Adam is a little more analytical. Both are high quality monitors no question, but I still find them analytical focusing on details and clarity. I'd prefer the JBL 305p which may not have the soundstage of these but offer a fuller sound.

no, the JBL305 has a very dirty sound, it can't even come close with a KRK, Presonus or Adam, I checked them for 7 days and went back to the store .. very poor resolution across the entire range.

Boy 3 minutes in they both suck. Boosting highs and losing the low mids. I have KRK 5 gen 4 but want the Adams. It's more likely your mike is not picking up those frequencies so BOTH speakers sound off. The one thing I take away from this though is how similar they are. I got to hear them in a room with Yamaha, JBL and M-Audio reference speakers and the T5V sounded the best to me. But that doesn't mean they are the flattest. Only they are superb for listening.

adams add too much brightness that shouldn't be there. need to be revealing, not grating on mixes that were recorded with too much highs. krk's need a grille on that tweeter.
