I hope this Franchise does well. It looks very promising, being that it comes from the creators from the Assassin's Creed Black Flag franchise. If this game has the same nuts and bolts, that Black Flag had in it... this game franchise will do great. From exploring, treasure hunting, hunting, diving, upgrading/customizing your pirate character, upgrading/customizing your ship, having an economy based pirate system, being hunted by capital ships, fighting against high level gargantuan sized capital ships, a few paths to choose from... between Pirate or Capitan of the British or Spanish Armadas. There's a lot of game design mechanics that Ubisoft has the rightful ability to do. And there are more pirate games coming out now more than ever. Hopefully Ubisoft researches what made Black Flag great, and really does their research... and listens to what devoted Black Flag players, are really wanting from a stand alone Pirate game, that has so much unlimited potential.

Seemed he tried to avoid the disembarking question a bit but hopefully that'll give them some insight to expand on off-ship exploration too. Black Flag had some great elements specific to being a pirate and having a ship like the diving sequences and treasure hunting. Skull & Bones would do well to look at what fans of Black Flag enjoyed and build off it. Pirates valued treasure very highly so I'll be surprised if there isn't some exploration, treasure hunting stuff.

He all but confirmed the lack of boarding and disembarking.. this is turning out to be half of a game. I will not be purchasing it if you cannot disembark.
