This Skull and Bones Padewakang build is incredible, it will literally destroy everything in your path, I've had many fights against higher level ships and even PvP battles for legendary treasure maps and this Padewakang build Skull and Bones is yet to be defeated.
The Skull and Bones Padewakang has a perk that benefits from explosive damage so it's pointless putting weapons on it that don't take advantage of the perk and I've seen lots of players in the Padewakang Skull and Bones that have flamethrowers and standard cannons equipped so I thought I would share my build to help you out.
Some people might not enjoy this Padewakang Skull and Bones build but it's the best damage you'll get from the ship so it's at least worth trying. feels a lot like it. and i think its somewhat true. but there are also some people who are genuinely disappointed because u dont have a lot of land content/possibilities, and a lot of people who wanted it to be exactly as blackflag ;) for me the game is fun. the start could be a little faster and i would also have loved to have the open world be open on land, having the option to duel or swordfight and so on. but i take it as it comes ;)

Me and my friend are playing it together and we have a blast. Sailing in formation attacking ships, doing quest, harvesting and helping each other getting the things we want. We both is between 45-50 years old. The game is what you make it to be. And everyone that you meet that plays the game, is polite, dont mess with your missions and helps each other.

I just realized that the ships in this game represent ships that sailed in the Indian Ocean in the past such as bedar and padewakang which were ships commonly used in the East Indies or Nusantara in the past

This build is OP! I solo’d the French convoy world event with it. The canons are super easy to land and do a ton of damage. Especially after your crew attack with fire bombs. Highly recommend this build to power through the mid game content

Little advice for bombards. The reticle helps immensely once you understand that the reticle is in increments of 100m and it’s zeroed at 200m base. Aim lower for 100m and the line below is for 400m

Fire bomnards are great, if you aim it right you can fire them pretty much point-blank.

This is such a great explanation for a really broken loadout, definitely earned a sub from me! I'm currently making my list for everything I need to craft the ship as well as all the cannons I'm going to need for it. One question I had is do you upgrade the bombard cannons with the next upgrade of Bombard III as it becomes available to you or does it really even matter?

Thank you for subbing and yes, whenever you have upgrades available always equip them. I have bombard V and fire bombard III with mortar II and nothing comes close to beating me in combat 👍

Did not bat an eye for this game at all. Got the Ubisoft+ to play AC. Just relieved the moment of excitement when Black Flag came out. I am totally enjoying this game now. I do understand it’s not for everyone

I moved on to the Brig and soon went back to the Padi. The thing just slaps. I miss the speed of the Brig, but in sheer AOE/ST dps the padi can throw out is nutty.

I think for grouped enemies the Padi can’t be beaten but for single targets I think the Brig is not only powerful but fun too because of the huge amounts of damage you deal from ramming 👍

Currently using the Bombardier Padewakang ship with setup shown in the video but with one twist. I dropped the 'Front Powder Kegs' furniture for the 'bombard works". That way all the Fire Bombard's will benefit from it.

@@iamergoproxy3476 it helps a lot to toggle the distance marker to always on. then u can learn/remember which horizontal line equals which distance. its way easier than to guess the distance or take out the spyglas. it also helps to calculate speed of incoming ships for mortar attacks.

I going to try this build, but is there any long guns or cannons that set things ablaze? I get having the bombards is supper strong, but I love shooting the cannons on this thing. Have been getting my ass kicked by lvl 9s and 10s though. Any who, thanks for the build, maybe it will help me with my lvl 9 and 10 problems.

You should go with fire demicannons on one side and something with good tear slotted in the rear. That way you have an escape option, a way to make distance, demicannons to ignite ships, and of course, the bombards for optimal dps. (Yes this was and still is my loadout from the open beta)

Nowadays it's even stronger with Dardanelles. If you increase the mortar area by 10%, adding it to the ship's perk which is already 15%, you het a huge mortar circle.

The Brigantine (Hullbreaker) I can tell you is a cannon ball eater. You could be filled with 999 cannon balls on it, and get into a ship battle with at least four level 10 ships, before you know it, you be down to a couple of hundred cannon balls remaining at the end of the battle.

@@Dr-Shite-Kickerit’s a ramming ship with high speed. I kill sails or target weak points with the purple long cannons that do bonus sail dmg and ram ships. I have Basilisks in the port side and starboard. I don’t really eat through cannonballs. Plus cannonballs are super cheap to make or cheap to buy.

works great against lvl 1's, but i currently have this same build with leopold mortar 2, and firebombard 3, and i sometimes get 2 shotted in the east indies. and takes a minute or 2 sometimes to bring down 1 basic enemy lvl 9 ship if i dont die 1st. its a different ballgame when you face lvl 8-10 ships

Because this is a mid tier ship designed to deal explosive damage to structures, it’s good up until around level 7 ships then you need the other medium ships

My thoughts is that against enemy ships that aren't levels 1, 2, & 3, you would take them down as easy. The real goal is to progress in difficulty.

This setup takes out almost anything with ease and when you get the higher tiers of the weapons mentioned in the video you take out everything even quicker. At rank 7 I was destroying rank 10 ships with hardly any effort and now I’m rank 9 nothing comes close to beating my ship

I‘m using the same setup for this ship and it works well against everything in the game. Even the big forts in the east like Oosten, we did it yesterday with two people. Sometimes in these forts the last ship spawning is a level 14 ship with Heavy explosion resistance. If this happens you will need a Long time to grind it down.

Heres my build, fire 3 fore and aft, dardanelles on port and starboard, reload table, port and starboard damage buff, and the 19% element buff for bombards, it roars and demolishes rogues, fleets, like the friggin man o war in black flag, literally awesome when you set fires on your own or with a sambuck, then delete with dards

Hey mate I just built mine today as a raid focused ship for forts. It's only lvl 10 but I solo'd a lvl 12 fort, with it. I had no real issues with ships as I put ballisks on one side and I'm using fire bombards front and back. Lvl 3 mortar aux and the bombards for forts on the other, can't remember the name 🤔. Try that with royal custodian armour and whatever furniture you have. See how you go

You don't want long range weapons in every slot - you'd want at least one close range weapon, I've got a rocket launcher in the middle (centre slot)of my Padewakang for close range combat

The fire bombards can be used at close range, I’ve won plenty of up close ‘n’ personal fights. It doesn’t matter what weapons you have if you stay in control of how far away from your enemies you are and the rocket launcher is the absolute worst choice because the ship is designed to deal explosive damage

@@Born2Game Rocket launcher deals explosive damage, you're basically telling us you haven't checked the description of every weapon. The Brigantine is a better ship than the Padewakang anyway as it has 5 slots for furniture. Also the only reason this build shreds, is because you're fighting ships 4 levels below your own. A tier 7 vs a tier 3 is a complete mismatch. If you were doing the same thing to ships that are higher level than your own, that's when it's actually an OP build.

Go to the knowledge tab and into the codex, find wood tar and track it then go to your map and it will show you trade routes and settlements that provide wood tar 👍

Fire bombard on the front, zanzama on the port guns, fire long guns on the rear and then Basilisk on the starboard. Zanzama and fire long guns set things on fire, fire bombard for extra explosive damage due to enemy being on fire. Basilisk for somethings a little further away as a defensive thing. Agree on the mortar tho.. I feel you should focus on ensuring your enemy is on fire all the time as that will slowly pick apart their health and your bombard and mortar will do more damage.

Unfortunately this build sucks in PVP activities like treasure map. People with guns that can destroy sails can destroy your sails very easily and after that you are losing speed and your bombards are becoming useless.

I mean its kool and all, but its very boring to put all same weapons on the ship. That lacks creativity and personalization of YOUR ship. I get it tho, but there's other explosive ijs. weapons

The only problems I have with the game is how long it takes to respawn or take off from port, the lack of fighting boarding a ship and limited things to do on foot. Other than that it’s a super fun game imo
