You don’t need maintenance forge for furniture, the ship auto heals both severe damage and regular hull health.

That's fair. I had not tested it at see before equipping the forge, so i did not know it healed sever damage as well.

The Barque isn't as fast with the wind as the Brigantine, but against the wind, it's got her. Only disadvantage is less broadside weapons.
