Thanks! Very glad to be of some help! What skull are you going to be working on?
@taylorr87 жыл бұрын
US Skull Hunter I'll start with a doe skull, then I've got some pretty nice sized bucks I want to do. Figured practicing on the doe skull first would be a good idea. I'm sure I'll have a million questions, and screw ups! 😊

Sweet! Ya screw ups are the best way to learn :)

I've watched a lot of your video's learning techniques for carving !! It's been great !! I started carving gourds this past fall which I raised last year and find these carving styles apply to them as well !! It's really relaxing and satisfying !! Thank you for your teachings.

That's awesome to hear Evelyn :) Yes, I have heard others who carve gourds say the same thing. You definitely have a lot of nice surface to work with !

Really nice work. Have you ever considered using a downdraft table like wood workers use for sanding?
@usskullhunter7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Berry! Yes, I have it in my mind how to do it but just have not taken the time to. I know it would really help keep my "shop" a lot cleaner :) Thanks for watching!

Been watching the videos & found a skull to work on. I had trouble carving thru so a light could show thru. What do you do about all the bone thru out the head? do you somehow try to cut it out?
@usskullhunter4 жыл бұрын
Hey Cindy! Sorry for the late reply! So I just work through the bone where it allows and then do relief carving in areas that are too thick to carve through.

Do you sell these? Or do you accept skulls and charge to carve what someone wants?
@usskullhunter8 жыл бұрын
I do accept skulls for custom carvings. Shoot me a text (540-222-2020) or message via Facebook! ~ Hunter
