I am communist msyelf... But You shoudl read the fucking manifest. Bourgeois nationalism is an hypocrysie, as the bourgeois capitalist tend to globalise, eraze border and nation to teh great displeasure of reactionnaries. In a sens bourgeois nationalism is a hox, as it trick prol in fighting for the interest of a minority in prétexte of serving the nation. Marx said this in the 1800's. Now it is even mroe true than ever before. He also said. That Communist such as himsef where accused of trying to bring down nation by badmouth but this was false, Because the dictatorship of the proletariate He say prols are nationaless because of bourgeois Nationalism, where in teh end they are mroe ocmmodities and lifestock for teh battfield, rtaher than proper citiezen. But with teh dictatroship of teh proletariate they would be able to be build their own nation. This why we are inetrnationalist and not globalist. Stalin neitehr was an inetrnationalist nor a globalist he was in between.

Since he is kept alive and augmented by parasites, he's a Biopunk Cowboy. "Cowboys and ninjas" was a late-2000s "extreme opposites fight" meme, alongside pirates. He is the exact opposite of a Cyborg Ninja on the same spectrum as a cyborg ninja.

With the character, many mainstream didnt see what he was actually saying, it got hints but not far. Mostly said he was a boring character. But if you really hear what he says. Its actually talking about national identity, language, barriers of concepts and how we live. I mean why is there, "the other". he is deep and its effected so much of him aswell being burnt, and so obsessed with what he sees becouse outsiders dragged him left and right (and also zero that found him, not in a bad way but, that as zero speaks english and is privileged never to lose his own tongue. And the snake eater that casted him aside which skull face hated being used as just tail for snake too succeed.) Skull face sees the world in borders, how it is and how it should be by different barriers, and they are all right in their ways aswell pointing the wrongs of the other, it's just how it is. As growing up he also sees his own village alike. Their own little world as making bombs in factory's. I think before knowing all this as a child, was something he found dear and warmth that was taken from him. A peice of him. It's the good parts he remembers but it's also in world view when its revealed, he sees it all a mess while people try to save their own worlds to continue, even if it means distorting others in their wake and Visa, I think that's like any civilisation that has come and gone.

Worth pointing out here, the "Man Without a Face" was the western moniker for Markus Wolf, the head of East Germany's counterintelligence bureau during the Cold War, owing to the fact that for decades the CIA et al didn't have a conclusive photo compromising his identity. He actually released a book detailing his time as the head of East German counterintel under that same title, which is a pretty interesting read (if not obviously biased).

Hey man! Many thanks for this video! In spite of standard fan rejection, Skull Face is by far my favorite MGS "villain", among other reasons, because his philosophical outlook actually raises hardcore questions about the cultural impact of the Anglo-American world in other societies via language. As someone whose mother tongue is not English, I was floored by his no doubt twisted but actually deep rationale. Again, the underpinning critique against English-speaking culture is so brutal, I'm surprised it didn't provoke a more negative reaction from fans or related media venues.

@@Garcia1995 Doesn't matter. There is enough missions that have freedom. The game needed more memorable gameplay moments. The rest of the series is set piece to set piece with a heavy emphasis on its presentation. I don't mind that MGSV is 90% gameplay but it needed some missions that had more polished content. Like Pitch Dark has those in mission cutscenes or the Devil's House, Blood Runs Deep, etc. Those had curated content. A lot of the missions have little story significance and "feel" like filler. If you deeply look at the story you can see where that story is in every mission but none of it is in your face like it should be.

Even if Skull Face lost everything and became a villian in both Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. But still I understand his felling when he was also forced to speak certain language when he was young. To learn language like english or french or other language by your free will is one and good thing but learning language by force is the bad thing. Skull Face didn't had a war against Big Boss and Zero (aka. Cypher/The Patriots), he had a war against every language from entier world, all except his mother tounge. Been burned his skin when he was young, he want revenge against Zero, Cypher, Big Boss and every language except hungarian, then finaly dies because of revenge. When someone want revenge against the other, then revenge returns back to the person who wanted. Life is like a boomerang. You maked a great video today. Great work Lee.. um I mean Boss.
@BJ-zd2or2 жыл бұрын
It seems like a tradagy though, when you see the whole thing. Cool talking had hatred for him becouse of what he did, quite understandable. But it leaves a mark that in skull faces mind. No one could repair him. His mind was soaked into it. He was lost too it all. Even other people wanted him dead afterwards. It made Kaz and maybe venom ugly in it's way. Its basically going "get them" as they run after them. Even today or even what I've seen on the news has sims form of revenge mentality there. If to give an example of 2016 and mostly 2020. Is that is potent revenge or retaliation is. Things look like justice from the surface or normalised level if daily life, yeah. But when its polical like in 2020. Something ugly so up from the surface as its repeated. And you dont see it as a justice point of view based on legal representation. Retribution rather then redemption as everyone is territorial and disticting them is only ones own empathy or despise of the one you see or not. Revenge is so unhinged.
@whitecraneexperience24132 жыл бұрын
@@BJ-zd2or I understand what you say. But... in my perspective and in my life, I learned that neither justice nor revenge can bring peace and stability in world. If you make something good, then choose to do nothing bad and help people peacefully and rationally. Once you choose the good thing, your are human ("Evil when triumph, is good for man to do nothing" Edmund Burke.). But if you make bad things, then you choose justice, once you choose justice, you choose revenge and once you choose revenge you no more human, you became a coldblooded demon. For me, Justice and Revenge are two sides of a single coin they are the same thing and they doesn't exist to me. It means nothing to me. For example, everyone saying that Justice is good and everyone must act to punish the guilty person with death. But in reality you can't do this by yourself. If you do the bad path, then sooner or later you have to face the consequences. Just like Big Boss said to Coldman in PW: "People hesitate. Lose their nerve." (And it wasn't refering to the gouverment who lose their control and launching nukes to other countries, he was also refering to the human thoughts, like civilians for example). If you think positive, then your full of control, if you think negative then your out of control and became a beast and also your going to destroy your own reputation. Or in War, everyone are saying that soldiers who are going to the battlefield are legends, heroes that brings happiness and justice. In reality main soldiers and enemy soldiers are only victims each other and they come from war only but pain, suffering and trauma. Just like Solid Snake said: "They are no heroes in war".-MGS1, "A legend is nothing but a fiction".-MGS2. And what Snake and Otacon are fighting for the future when they create an NGO Anti Metal Gear organisation is not Justice and Revenge. Is like Otacon said to Emma: "For Peace". Look this is my opinion, but if I said something wrong or bad then ok I keep this opinion just for me and I delete this opinion or comment. Ok? And this opinion it was about the phantom pains protagonists (Venom) and antagonists (Skull Face) path. What path they took.

Just that he was an expert field agent/assassin and may have even killed Stalin himself. Also the unusable vehicles and helicopters occasionally found like in the Hellbound mission, aren't meant to be decoys or anything meant to fool observers. They were just made inoperable since they are on base and not ready to be active or deployed. The wheels on the vehicles are clearly booted. The helicopter blades are retracted so they are safe and out of the way.

I understand why Ocelot is so out-of-character and reserved in this game only...otherwise, Skull Face would disappear against the line of MGS villains as one of the least interesting one in the series, and he wouldn't be so clearly juxtaposed against the snarling, neutered canines of Kaz as the sole madman on our team of Diamond Dogs. So Ocelot, based on the tactics of simple storytelling is the narrator to Venom's story, a vessel to fill in the blanks of Big Boss's enemies and friends to Venom's consciousness.

It is really interesting to think about the absurdity of the phrase "Jewish Communism" The common stereotype against Jewish people is that they are greedy, due to the people's historical ties to banking going back to the time of the Romans. This was part of Nazi propaganda, this idea that the Jews were hoarding the wealth of the German people. So that later in the war they would then link them to communism, an economic philosophy that goes so directly in the face of that stereotype, goes to show how desperate, and honestly how brazen they were, that they believed that the people were so indoctrinated that they thought they could actually pitch this idea and it would actually work.
