Have you tried a wet shave with a head shaver? Comment below!

Great video! I have owned the Freebird for about 6 months. It's not as close a shave as I get with a blade but it's better than getting nicks and cuts! Once I began using shaving cream my results were better. I also agree that it must be cleaned after each shave.

I have a sensitive scalp too and recently upgraded my freebird to the freebird Pro. Man total game changer, more powerful, faster, more quiet & now like the pitbull easier to clean with no irritation now.

Thank you. Great and fair review. I'm sticking with the pitbull.

I got a pitbull recently and i love it, so much better than my old remington rotary razor, freebird doesn't seem to be sold in the UK from what i could find.

full beard with larger mustache is such a good look, knew I would go for it at some point when I saw it on tsar nicholas II. you're one of the first people I've seen with it.

Great review, brother! I purchased the Freebird about a week ago, and it's done well thus far. I will use a light shaving cream on my cut ✂️ and see how it affects my head.

Good review. I bought the freebird the other day. Anything is better than using razors. I always wanted one of these or a zero GAP clipper to officially get as close a shave as possible. I'm too lazy to use razors every 2 days but a quick zap with one of these all day. Looks like they get razor closeness. Pretty dope

That's the key! Always make sure your model can do it first 🤣 Good luck! I've found the best results using a shave gel, personally. -Kaz

My pitbull head shaver cuts out, even on a full charge, like it doesn’t have enough power. Pretty annoying.

What's better for not causing pimples?
@AberliteGrooming3 ай бұрын
Electric shavers, in general, are pretty good at preventing these. "Pimples" from shaving, are actually usually ingrown hairs that manifest like pimples -- often caused by close shaves with razors. Electric razors cut the hair shorter which will usually stop this . Overall though, the Pitbull GOLD is likely better for this as it has less irritation. If the pimples continue, just make sure you're cleaning all your shaving tools with isopropyl alcohol (+ make sure all your towels, wash cloths etc. get a good hot water cycle with vinegar every now and again) Lastly, a salicylic cleanser after shaving will be a godsend for preventing pimples after shaving. Get all of the bacteria and shave residue off your skin after shaving an you shouldn't have any more issues! Cheers, Kaz

@AberliteGrooming awesome, I do a lot of Judo the vinegar should help with Gis too. Sometimes I get away from using it. I have the pittbull platinum. I went ahead and ordered one of these to try it out. Thanks

My freebird smells funky after using it a couple times for a dry shave. I rinse it out after every use. Anybody else have this problem?
@AberliteGrooming3 ай бұрын
May be a good idea to give the head a nice bath in some vinegar and hot water -- followed by some isopropyl alcohol (after the vinegar has dried) If you do this once a month, the stink should be largely reduced. Cheers, Kaz

I had the same problem. It stopped when I began cleaning it after each shave. BTW I also switched from a dry shave to using shaving cream.

I have the Pitbull. It works, but it screams so loudly that I have to wear earplugs, and my wife has threatened to chuck it because it wakes her up at the other end of the house. Seriously, it's deafening. Junk.

Very interesting! I own 5 different types of head shaver and my Pitbull is the quietest of the lot. Was it that loud right out of the box?
@bretts36884 ай бұрын
My pitbull is also very loud. It's squeals like a stuck pig lol.

Noticed these comments are not much in quantity meaning its probably just the guys trying to sell it making these reviews
@AberliteGrooming3 ай бұрын
Hi @fhtuna, Aberlite has absolutely no affiliation with either of these products -- this channel is not even monetized yet, so we have earned $0 from this video. The links to the head shaver are not even affiliate links. We even have our own personal store of products that are in direct competition with Freebird and SkullShaver, yet we strive to spread the love around the industry. Alot of the views for this video have come from external, timestamped google search traffic, so that's why there's few comments -- you can't comment from there unless you click on the KZbin icon and scroll down Lastly, this was my authentic first reaction to the Freebird's wet shaving abilities, and I have since posted a more nuanced video where I noted that the Freebird gets clogged easily while wet shaving If you have any more questions or comments, let me know 🙂 Cheers, Kaz

Hi @celestialfluff! Kaz here. Not a single Aberlite product was used in this video, so there was no "Aberlite Option". And yes, I am a paid freelancer for Aberlite and I use Aberlite products in my videos -- just like how the paid freelancers at Beardbrand use their respective products. My primary goal is to provide free information while using products I genuinely believe in. Let me know how I can do things better in the future, I genuinely want your feedback ☺ -Kaz

@@AberliteGrooming ohhh trust me I will. I just need contemplation time... Ok. I'm ready. #1 stop boasting about minoxidil! Y'all need to provide 100 case studies with beard minoxidil journey Videos, than I'll actually care! ✅
@AberliteGrooming5 ай бұрын
@@CelestialFluff Totally understandable on the minoxidil front! We have a pretty in-depth mechanistic understanding of minoxidil and WHY it should work for most people. But yeah, the patent on minoxidil -- which restricts it to "vertex of the scalp" use has made it very hard to study for beard growth. So I understand -- that's why I educate on the mechanism and I always recommend extensive research before anyone takes the leap. I believe in the mechanism, but agree that formal research is lacking -- due to patent politics I've never tried to "boast" about minoxidil, but this is good feedback. I'm really on your side, I want to provide the best educational content possible -- feel free to help me do that

Hey @AberliteGrooming, just a heads-up: I've been cultivating my beard with minoxidil for almost a year now, and let's just say my facial follicles are on the express train to Fabio territory. And to top it off, I've even penned a scholarly piece on the subject. Results? Astounding! 👍
