After Shinook from Mortal Kombat I lost hope that final boss characters would be interesting as playable but heck, the Developers of Skullgirls sure broke expectations and went beyond... Nicely done

Personally I think it's supposed to be set up for a sequel. If I recall correctly that was sorta the point of all the dlc at one point. Release the characters they always wanted to add to the game and then work on sequel. At least if I'm remembering correctly.

I think they're setting up a final story where the entire playable cast fights the Trinity..... Marie's story is the only one that involves the Trinity, whereas the others don't because they would reset the timeline each time Marie died. Marie rebelling never happened in any of the other story modes....

So, my predictions were a bit off. But at least I got a few things right about her story mode! However, something I didn't know I wanted was Peacock calling out Marie for being so repetitive during her boss fight. This makes sense because out of all the fighters, Marie is definitely the most talkative when it comes to insults.

So… does that make Marie a god? Like, she opposes the Trinity and freed the dead from their influence. She isn’t controlled by the Trinity and she’s not really mortal anymore (seeing as she’s undead). Peacock can also manipulate reality and was able to help break the Skullheart itself, so maybe she qualifies too? So our new gods of death and chaos ride off into the sunset. I can live with that.

Well, this Story Mode was pretty much as interesting as I had hoped and having us start it off with being able to actually Play as the Boss Version of Marie were a very nice touch, although speaking of which, I was wondering what the Final Boss for this one would be, but I guess it still ended up being Bloody Marie like usual, except this time it was a Bloody Marie that was puppeteered much more directly by The Trinity through Double (I guess), still it ended up being Bloody Marie nonetheless, I guess that does make sense, it is the only true Boss-Like Battle that was designed for this Game and making a entirely New One probably takes too much work, still I do kind of wish that they could’ve at least made some kinds of Alterations to the Bloody Marie Boss Fight somewhat, something that would’ve indicated that we do in fact Fight The Trinity themselves this time around, not directly of course, but you know what I mean, Hm, thinking about that does make me a little disappointed, i just hope we do get some other Boss-Like Battles in the Future, Regardless, this Story Mode was still pretty well done all things considered and i really hope it and the Rest of these Latest Stories gets Voiced just like the Originals ended up being and gets Voiced good too, i feel like they deserve good Voice Acting. As for the Story itself, I wasn’t sure of what I was expecting, but I certainly wasn’t expecting this Story to take us outside of New Meridian and while I was expecting there to be some revelations in a Story Mode like this, I was still not expecting what we got, It’s good that we got to learn more about the Orphanage that Marie and Patricia once lived at, but if memory serves, I thought the Orphanage they once lived at was one run by the Medici and i thought Marie was running from the Medici when she first met Double, but i guess not, huh? Granted, now that i think about it, i guess none of this was really ever specified until now, was it? I could be wrong though and this does bring Marie’s desire for revenge on the Medici into question, unless those Slave Traders were working for the Medici, then I guess this could still work, Regardless, what do any of you think? Could the Flashbacks in this be considered a Retcon or could they still work alongside the info we had already gotten prior to this Story Mode? Anyway, as interesting this Story Mode was it did bring some Questions in mind, like for example: 1. How and why did Peacock end up teaming up with Filia and Squigly? Like having Peacock here is a no brainer and i guess Filia and Squigly could be considered as the Overall Main Characters of this Game, at least that’s the impression I’ve gotten, but still out of all the other Characters in the Roster, why Filia and Squigly with Peacock? 2. How did they come up with a plan like that? I say they, but it’s mostly like Peacock who were the one who came up with a plan that crazy, still what caused her to even think of it, when she didn’t for the other Story Modes where she had a Major Role? 3. When does this Story Mode take place? I mean, one would probably think that it takes place somewhere when all of the other Story Modes End, but in that case one can wonder what might’ve happened previously that eventually lead into this Story Mode’s Beginning? Honestly, out of all of the Stories in this Game, I feel like this Storyline in particular is one that I would like to learn more about the most. Speaking of which and I think this might be the biggest one of them all, 4. What’s next from here on? If I recall correctly, I think there was talk about a Plan that once Marie would be Playable there would be a Story Mode that would move things along for a change and Aeon did mention in the Post-Credits Scene of Double’s Story Mode that at some point there would be a Timeline where all threads converge with one another, Is this Story Mode it or could we expect one Final Story Mode (for Season 1 at least) that is more akin to those Final Stories that usually seems to be in Games with Multiple Stories based on who you play as? And if the Latter is the case, would this Final Story Mode take place in its own Timeline or would it be a Continuation of this One? What do any of you think? Regardless, this a very nice Story and i hope they won’t be stopping anytime soon.

For question number one , I honestly think big band should've been there he's like a dad to peacock kinda, as for who he'd replace I think squiggly would make sense but as for why they picked filial and squiggly probably bec of the parasites samson and leviathan As for question number 2 and 3 they both kinda mix in with each other as peacock earlier in the story (which we didn't see) probably thought of that plan. As for question number 4 I think we'll get another season like Maybe with brain drain or doubles daughters? I can think of many future dlc characters like the previous skullgirls or hell the trinity themselves but let's just hope we get another season

Through the Story Modes of yet another Batch of New Playable Characters or through New Story Modes for already existing Playable Characters?

​@@jukesy1992If I remember correctly, Alex (the original creator of skullgirls) Before the game changed its management, the devs had said they wanted to make a canon, unifying story mode, which was going to be called "nightmare legacy", so probably considering Since the canon story mode has its own name, it would probably be its own section

Marie's story is like Korosensei, especially if in the anime crossover maybe Marie meets Class 3-E (Assassination classroom) even though Class 3-E is an assassin like Black Dahlia, making Marie feel that Class 3-E is not like Black Dahlia as cruel assassins due ro in fact Class 3-E is people understand about her due to Class 3-E see that Marie just like Korosensei in Aguri form even though Marie is like Korosensei but Class 3-E sees Marie and Peacock like Karma and Nagisa especially Marie maybe could be Naofumi Iwatani's alliance because Marie feels Naofumi is like her especially the boss in Marie's story is like Frieren fighting his clones
