Skullgirls: Marie Alpha Gameplay!!!

Marie makes her appearance in the alpha build for Skullgirls!!! Time to show her some moves and frames! Please note that some frames are not yet finished and there will likely be changes for her in the future.
I will get more footage for some of her lines and online matches with her.

I find it strange how Marie is essentially two different character types. She's either a normal player, or a levitating bone cluster. I am honestly surprised the devs didn't merge the two together.

I agree. And she doesn't really have that many moves compared to everyone else either, which I find kinda weird because I don't think Annie, umbrella, or black Dahlia started out with little moves. But they'll probably give her more in the future.

Annie started out with less moves than this version of Marie Also, I think they could add a lv 7 super that temporarily allows the player to transform into boss Marie. The player can already use it in one of the challenges so you can just port that over.

⁠she's not finished yet is all, umbrella started out with far less moves and only 2 level one blockbusters when she was first playable. She wasn't even voiced like marie was if i remember correctly too. I'm pretty sure marie will get another blockbuster and maybe 1-2 more special moves or mechanics before she releases fully because she looks pretty far along and is already released in mobile.

Well, lore reason aside (now that we know why) I like her moveset either way. I kinda play her in a rushy playstyle. Her normals are absurdly easy to chain together. j. LP->LK->MP->MK->HP->H. MgR

4:02 weird how they get covered in charcoal on this version but not on mobile. This would've been a real cool detail to have on mobile😭 38:43 "don't make a mess😡" I love how even the skeletons have personalities and voicelines 43:55 CAROL😭❤️

Marie x Peacock just Raphtalia x Rifana (Shield Hero) in one place even though Marie betrayed Peacock but Peacock still love to Marie as best friend

She didnt betray Patricia, Patricia actually saved Marie from being taken by the Medici, but since she's Lab 8 and Marie was a Skullgirl, they had to fight. They love each other to the bitter end, even as they fight.
